Act I
Emily tells Lucky that she's not sleeping at night but she can't get out of bed in the morning. She knows she's being selfish but she can't stop thinking of Nikolas. Lucky comforts her. Courtney shows up and asks what's happening with Michael.

Skye checks on Ross' body. She's disgusted anew. Tracy photographs her some more. She leaves. Tracy is happy she got her on camera.

Luke is questioned briefly by Ric about Ross. Ric leaves. Luke asks Faith if she iced Ross. Faith tells him he's being paranoid.

Mary steps away from the hot man in the shower and tells him she can't. He's confused.

Michael wakes up after Sonny tells him if he does so, he'll find a way to make things work with Carly. Michael says "Daddy" then the alarms go off. Carly thinks that Michael woke up to say goodbye but Sonny says no.

Sam reads the instructions on her pregnancy test.

Act II
Nikolas sarcastically asks Mary when she started to become afraid of the water. Crying, she tells him she's sorry. He asks why she doesn't want to be with him. She gently explains that because he doesn't remember her, it's kind of like the first time again for both of them; she's afraid she'll disappoint him. He seems to understand a bit more, but she still can't seem to look him in the eye.

Emily tells Courtney that Michael's OK. Lucky takes off. Courtney tells Emily that Sonny's cut her out of the boys lives. Emily says Sonny will change his mind. Courtney says she loves those boys; Emily says she does too.

The doctor tells Carly and Sonny that Michael's condition is the darndest thing -- his blood pressure dropped rapidly but came up just as quickly for no reason at all. Sam shows up and eavesdrops as Jason asks more questions about Michael's condition.

Act III
Nikolas asks if he was abusive to her; if he cheated on her. Crying, she tells him he was a perfect husband. He asks, then, why they can't be together. She says that every time they get close a little voice goes off in her head that tells her that it won't last.

Courtney and Emily talk about what a holy terror Michael is. But, they still love him lots & lots. Jason shows up with a big hug for Emily -- he reassures her that Michael will be fine. Courtney looks away as it's clear he's not going to give her a hug.

Sonny smiles; Carly simpers; Michael awakens and, upon seeing his parents together, seemingly happy, asks if he's dreaming. Gag.me.with.a.spoon.

Act IV
Mary tells Nikolas that she's still afraid that one day her husband will be taken away from her again. Kneeling before her, he implores her to look into his eyes and believe him when he says nothing will ever separate them again.

Courtney wants to go see Michael but Jason says it's a bad idea & she should come back later. Jason thanks Em for helping him get through this.

Faith tells Luke he needs to find out who killed Ross so she doesn't fry for it. She'll pay him, of course. She leaves. Luke tells Skye that Faith didn't kill Ross. Tracy shows up and drops a few choice hints.

Michael wakes up and Carly and Sonny tell him they're glad to see him but he has to go back to sleep. Carly helps Michael say his prayers as Sonny looks on blissfully.

Act V
Emily bought balloons for Michael. She enlists Courtney to deliver them.

Tracy drops some more hints to Luke and Skye. She then tells them they'll have to jump through hoops for her. Tracy then makes a phone call and tells the person she has information for them that they'll find interesting.

Nikolas makes dinner for Mary. They dine by candlelight, in comfortable silence.

Sonny tells Carly about his bargain with God. Courtney shows up and Sonny says he has to go take care of stuff. Courtney and Carly reassure each other. In the lounge Sonny tells Jason to go get Sam and bring her to the penthouse.

Sam returns to her boat and grabs the bag which contains the pregnancy test.

Act VI
Nikolas and Mary are in bed. She tells him she's ready to make love. Suddenly a shrill, insistent, annoying knocking begins. Apparently the fact that all the lights were out, in addition to the pouring rain, wasn't enough to keep Emily away.

Luke wants Skye to try to remember other stuff from the night Ross died. Jax shows up. Tracy says that he'll be willing to do anything she wants. He doesn't think so. She begs to differ.

Sam looks at the results of the pregnancy test and brushes tears out of her eyes. Jason shows up to take Sam to Sonny.

Michael wakes up and is surprised that his parents aren't fighting. Sonny says they won't fight again. Carly moves the magazine she's been reading and heads out in the hall with Sonny. He tells her he wants her and the boys to come home. She says no.
