Act I
Skye and Luke pretend Ross has been punched out by Luke; not that he's dead.

Sonny instructs Carly to kill Lorenzo.

Jason wants to know how come Courtney's hanging around the penthouse. Max comes in with a message for Jason who tells him not to talk in front of the blonde. Courtney calls Lucky and tells him to send a squad car over to Lorenzo's ASAP.

Sonny tells Carly to kill Lorenzo. She says no one has to die. Sonny says this is proof that she loves Lorenzo.

Ric blames Mike for the chain of events leading up to him being in Kelly's with flowers for his wife. Mike shakes his head.

Act II
Carly holds the gun wrong and fights with Sonny. He says that if she loves him, he wants her to own it. She says "you can lie ON me; cheat on me; break my heart; shoot me in the head, but I can never do anything right, can I? You want me to shoot him, fine!" Ric (apparently fresh from his chat with Mike) along with half the PCPD show up outside the apartment to hear the shots.

Jason tells Courtney to take the children to Carly's. They argue. Michael comes downstairs and tells them to quit it.

Skye fawns all over Ross until Luke is sure that Tracy is gone. She says she wants to call the cops and take a shower -- not necessarily in that order. Luke says that he's come to care about her and he doesn't want her to wreck her life by confessing because it would wreck his too.

Act III
Skye takes a shower and comes out fully dressed. Luke says they need to find an empty walk-in freezer. They have to put Ross on ice until they can figure out who killed him. (Shades of Sasha Schmidt? I think so). Luke says he may have thought of a way to keep Ross alive.

Courtney hands the baby to Leticia. Once alone, Michael asks why she and Jason were fighting.

Sam returns to the penthouse and asks Jason what's up. He says he's not sure. Sam asks if she should move out. Jason's not sure of that either.

Ric et al bust through the doors and find no dead bodies and no guns. They ask what happened but no one's talking. Sonny announces that Lorenzo is under Carly's protection.

At Kelly's, Tracy meets with Coleman. She shows him a photo of Ross & Skye she took with her camera phone and says she wants him to research him. Jax shows up and asks Tracy what she's up to.

Act IV
Liz arrives at Kelly's and sees flowers from Ric. She calls him and leaves him a message that she'll stick around for another fifteen minutes. Lucky shows up and tells her what just happened at Lorenzo's apartment. Liz is not pleased.

Tracy doesn't tell Jax she's out to get Skye. Once alone with Coleman, Tracy offers him seven grand to find out the identity of the guy in the photo within the hour. She says this may be the leverage she needs.

Jason tells Sonny that Sam's upstairs and she may be packing her bags. Sonny says that she's under the mistaken impression that he'll dump her for Carly and that'll never happen. Jason tells Sonny that someone broke their code; they were betrayed. Courtney trots in. Sonny says he wanted to see her one last time and then never ever again.

Lorenzo tells Carly obviously he's willing to die for her and clearly she's not willing to kill for him. They seem to be at an impasse.

Act V
Sam, not following Faith's advice, eavesdrops on the conversation downstairs. Sonny accuses Courtney of betraying him; of conspiring against him. Perhaps the funniest accusation is when he compares her to a succubus; she seduced his best friend. He tells her to never speak to him again. She tells him she's not afraid of him.

Carly tells Lorenzo she wants him to leave town. Lorenzo tells her he's hanging around because if nothing else he'll free her from Sonny.

Mike gives Tracy tea. She doesn't like it.

Liz asks Ric where he was and why it was more important than trying to work things out. He says it was just work; she doesn't believe him.

Luke and Skye realize they can communicate with Ross' work via his palm pilot. They just have to figure out the password. Jax shows up at the lakehouse. Skye invites him in.

Act VI
Sonny tells Courtney she's dead to him. It has all the resonance of, gosh, maybe his oft-trod "I'll break you" speech. He goes upstairs.

He tells Sam he saw her eavesdropping on the stairs. He begs her not to ever betray him. She says that she won't. They start to kiss.

Skye and Luke figure out Ross' password and log onto his account.

Coleman tells Tracy that Ross is a cop.

Ric tells Liz he came there to try to keep her but instead he's letting her go. Elizabeth tells him that she's leaving town for awhile and might not be back. She reiterates that she loves him but they both know they just can't work it out. They share a sweet final kiss, and she leaves him sitting at a table at Kelly's alone. She hesitates by the door, then exits.

Jason withdraws the divorce papers from the drawer in SONNY'S penthouse. Guess he was keeping them for him. He signs them. He gives them to Courtney, who's crying uncontrollably. He tells her to get out; there's nothing left for her here. (Sidenote: this scene actually reminded me slightly of the Stefan/Alexis betrayal scene from 1997. The intensity with which Courtney was crying and some of the words. It wasn't, of course, half as good, but it had echoes). Courtney goes out into the hallway as Jason closes the door behind her.
