Act I
Sonny, in the pitch-black dark of night, announces that the dead guy fits the description of the bomber.

Emily tells Ric they have to keep searching for Nik. She's just come home to change clothes. Liz shows up and begs her to stay there and keep warm for awhile. Ric gets a call about a homicide at Carly's.

Sonny tells Lorenzo he better hope the dead guy doesn't have a trail that leads right to him. Lorenzo gets down on his knees and begins searching the dead guy.

Sonny tells Michael that his mother is the bravest woman he's ever known.

Courtney calls Sam trash and says she was about to try to seduce Jason. Sam says it's interesting she thought Jason would go for it.

Mary is looking at a photo of her and Connor. Nik shows up. She hides it. She tells him that he used to be an excellent carver. She then heads to the store to buy ginger snaps for her husband - they're his favorite.

The Qs - Edward, Alan, Monica and Ned - discuss how to get Emily through this.

Act II
Justus shows up to Kelly's to give Mike the divorce papers for Courtney. He says he's never seen a more amicable divorce in his life.

Liz tells Emily that she's afraid Ric isn't over hating Sonny and basing his life on that hatred.

Sonny says goodnight to Michael. Carly thanks him. Lorenzo takes some papers off the dead guy. He puts them in his pocket. Sonny asks if the dead guy said anything before he got dead. Lorenzo says that he asked for Jason. Sonny says it's weird that he said anything at all. The cops show up. When asked who's in charge, Ric steps out and says with a derisive smile that he is.

Courtney calls Sam a tramp. Sam smiles and reminds her that ex-strippers who live in glass houses ought not to throw stones. Courtney can't believe Jason can't see that she's so trashy. Jason wants the girls just to stop talking.

Act III
Nikolas, believing he's a great carver, searches through the cabin until he finds a half-finished duck. He picks up a tool... and promptly breaks off his beak. He can't understand why this happened.

Emily tells Liz that Ric has changed, and that she should trust him if she feels she can. Liz just isn't sure. All the Qs show up to take Emily home. She won't go.

Carly explains what happened to result in the dead guy on the rug. Ric arrests Sonny. Lorenzo says that won't be necessary.

Courtney asks Jason why he can't see what a tramp Sam is. Jason asks Courtney why she's there. Courtney leaves. Sam tells Jason to go after her.

Act IV
Mary returns home to find Nik sitting at the table, angry. He picks up the duck and tells her that he ruined it. He can't understand why it feels like he's never done this before. He throws the tool across the room.

Emily tells the Qs that she won't give up on Nikolas and that includes not going home.

Sam returns downstairs, dressed (well, sorta), and encourages Jason to work things out with his wife who obviously loves him a lot.

Carly tells Duncan that Ric has a grudge against Sonny and asks if he wants his name associated with a nuisance arrest like that. All the cops leave (including the one that looks like the Mistletoe Massacre shooter), and Sonny just laughs.

Act V
Courtney whines to Mike about what a tramp Sam is and how she's going after Jason now. Mike says she's only complaining because she's in love with Jason still.

Michael announces that he wants to go live at the penthouse again because he hates this house and he's none-too-fond of Lorenzo, either.

Sonny tells Jason what happened. The men put their heads together to figure out what's up. Sonny tells Jason that he can't believe how close he came to losing his family tonight simply by staying home with Sam.

Act VI
Carly tells Lorenzo he must have a headache. She asks if he wants to go to the hospital. She then realizes that is where she's seen the hitman before -- he's the guy from the hospital who asked him for directions. Lorenzo pretends he has no clue what she is talking about.

Sonny tells Sam her stabber's dead. She says 'cool - guess there's no reason for me to stay here anymore'. Sonny says nothing.

Justus delivers Jason's divorce papers and tells him once Courtney signs them, the marriage is dissolved.

Courtney rants on about how Jason's the perfect guy -- if not for his job.

Liz makes popcorn and tells Em they should watch a movie. Em can't abandon the search for Nikolas.

Mary tells Nik her life was empty before he came back into it and that she will help him right his life again. They begin to kiss.

Preview
Lucky urges Ric to continue the search. Ric says they don't have the manpower

Nikolas and Mary head to the bedroom for a horizontal make-out session

Carly tells Lorenzo she told Sonny to stay away and for once she's glad he didn't listen

Jason tells Courtney he doesn't want to get divorced

Sonny tells Sam they always knew this would be temporary
