Your Seat or Mine?
by Terry

“Your seat or mine?”

“Lady’s choice,”

“Come on over!”

“Ow. Oh… damn. That hurt.”

"What?"

"That hurt."

“Oh stop whining and put your leg over here.”

“Where, here?”

“No, little more to your left.”

“There?”

“Yeah that’s it. OW!””

“Oh, sorry. I just need to get my arm out… then I can...”

“Yeah, that's right. Put it there.”

“We should have taken my car!”

“Why?”

“We could have gotten in the back seat. Much easier.”

“You don’t like the challenge?”

“This is not a challenge, Alexis. It’s a maze. Ouch!”

“Even mazes can be interesting, don’t you think?”

“Not when I have a problem this big. A problem you initiated, I might add”

“I don’t remember you being so cold…”

“That’s not me. That’s the gear shift.”

“oh.”

“You mean you couldn’t tell the difference?”

“Uh… no, I mean yes. I just… uh Ric?”

“What?”

“What are you doing?”

“My tie is caught.”

“THERE?”

“Just give me a minute.”

“Another minute and this whole debacle will be a moot point.”

‘How can you get that far without me?”

“Do you not know where your knee is?”

“Oh! Sorry.”

“Don’t apologize. It felt quite nice.”

“Don’t you think you ought to at least try to wait for me?”

“Tell you what… turn your head that way.”

“My head?”

“Yes. Your head. Turn it that way and look out the window.”

“I can’t see out the window. The windows are fogged up.”

“It doesn’t matter whether you can see or not…”

“NOT MY EAR, ALEXIS. AHHHHH…..”

“See, now I don’t have to wait for you. Just keep bouncing on your knee a little bit longer and we'll both feel better.”

"Can we go home and finish this?"

"Move that knee, buddy and you're toast!"
