Alexis shows up and asks Sonny where her kid is. Alexis tells Sonny it might be a nice idea to call her before taking her kid. Carly looks on amused. Sonny says he just had a state-of-the-art security system installed there so Kristina will be all kinds of safe with him. Alexis announces it's way past Kristina's bedtime. Sonny says he has a gift for her and they can at least stay for another fifteen minutes. He takes his daughter away from a reluctant Alexis. Once Kristina is gone Carly chastises Alexis and says she shouldn't ruin this for Sonny. Carly and Alexis discuss materialism. Alexis says that she wants Sonny to not spoil their daughter because then she won't value anything. Carly says it would be different if Sonny gave material possessions without giving love, but that just isn't the case. Carly tries to make Alexis look bad to Sonny. He tells her he doesn't have to buy Kristina's love because he already has it.

January 25, 2005
Alexis tells Sonny that Kristina needs some time to adjust to the fact that he's her father. He says she'll be spending a lot of time with him so they'll have a lot of time. She tells him they should reserve presents for holidays. She tells him when he gives her gifts every time he sees her it takes the special out of special occasion. Suddenly Kristina reappears with Angel Bear in tow. She asks where she found Angel Bear because Angel Bear has been missing for weeks. Alexis tries to figure out how Angel Bear got outside with Kristina but no one has any answers. She then asks that when Michael to ask permission before he takes Kristina outside. Carly thinks she's overreacting. Max pipes up by telling Alexis her fears are silly since he was doing such a bang-up job supervising things. Alexis notices Kristina's nose is running and they head to GH to get it looked at. After Alexis leaves Sonny tells Michael they have to put her mind at ease and just not take Kristina out without telling someone first. Alexis, distracted by a phone call, doesn't notice when Sam approaches Kristina and tells her that she's all well because of Sam's little girl.

January 26, 2005
Alexis asks Mike if he can give Kristina something sweet. Grandpa & granddaughter take off into the kitchen. Alexis tells Sam she'll always be grateful for what she did for her daughter. Sam says she didn't do anything -- it was all her daughter. Alexis says she understands that Sam is adopting a baby. Sam says it didn't work out and it's all because of Jason. Faith's Assistant keeps watching Alexis and Kristina through the window. He calls someone and says he can't make his move because there's been a complication.

January 27, 2005
Alexis asks Ned to take Kristina for the night but he says no. Sonny shows up and asks Alexis if she's suffering from memory loss -- did she forget he's Kristina's father and can take care of her?
Sonny reminds Alexis that he has unlimited visitation and up to now they've done everything her way but that's not going to happen any longer. Sam enters Kelly's and sits where she sat two days ago. Kristina and Alexis enter. Sam watches Alexis telling Kristina she'll get to sleep at her father's tonight. Alexis drops Kristina off at Sonny's. She says that she's made Kristina the focus for too long and she's going to take some time to focus on herself. Alexis tells him to wipe the smirk off his face and asks why he's smiling. He tells her honestly "there may be some hope for you yet". Alexis tells Sonny she's been watching him with Kristina and that she sees his feelings for her are genuine. She says she hopes they can start to work on doing what's best for their daughter. Alexis hugs her daughter as Faith's Assistant watches on the monitor.

January 28, 2005
Alexis asks Sonny if the video game that Michael is playing with Kristina is violent. He suggests if she needs to feel comfortable with him having Kristina there, she needs to hire a back-up nanny. Faith's Assistant watches everything. Alexis heads into Kelly's to find Georgie and Dillon. She asks if they've seen Brook. They inform her that she's with Diego, who's just learned that his father is Lorenzo Alcazar. Alexis suggests that perhaps she should just find a babysitter from the post office's Most Wanted list. Alexis finds Brook at Kelly's and gets her to agree to watch Kristina.

February 1, 2005
Alexis is startled upon finding Ric in her apartment. He tells her that he was invited but she can't recall when. He tells her it was more of a subtle suggestion; an implication. She says he may have misunderstood. Alexis tells Ric that she was at Wyndham's earlier. She takes a drink of wine. They're not sure if they should spend time together or not when the phone rings. Sonny tells Alexis someone broke into his house and took Kristina. Alexis shows up with Ric in tow. She asks Sonny where the police are. He says he hasn't called them. She tries to attack the mob boss but Ric holds her back. Alexis tells Sonny that she knew this would happen because no one is safe around him. She says if something happens to Kristina she will kill Sonny. He looks like he believes it. Alexis wants to call the police but Sonny and Ric suggest that Kristina will be safer if they don't. Sonny says that if the kidnappers ask for money he'll give them whatever they want.
Alexis heads into Sonny's bedroom and tells Jason that he must be proud of himself for keeping the most important of Sonny's children safe, but not her daughter who must not rate very high on his scale of devotion. Brook apologizes for not doing her job properly. Alexis resists the urge to tell her precisely where she can stick her half-hearted apology. Alexis tells Brook this whole thing is Sonny's fault by nature of his being her father. She says the reason Sonny doesn't want to call the police is because he knows that he won't be allowed near Kristina ever again once she is returned. Ric remarks that things are going precisely as Alexis predicted they would. Proving he doesn't know his wife at all, Ric seems sure that Alexis is the one who took Kristina. He says that it's OK; he understands; he'll cover for her with Sonny and Sonny will never ever have to know she arranged this whole thing herself. Elsewhere, Kristina watches her mommy on the monitor and reaches out and touches the TV. Alexis tells Ric she had nothing to do with this travesty and is hurt he even suggested it.

February 2, 2005
Alexis tells Ric she had nothing to do with kidnapping Kristina. Ric says she's done it twice before; what would make this time any different? Alexis brings up the fact that he kidnapped a pregnant Carly and chained her to a wall and suggests that just because he thinks like a criminal, doesn't mean the rest of the world does, too. She tells him they're wasting time discussing this when they should be out there trying to find baby K. Alexis heads out the gate but Ric tries to stop her. He again insists she's committed a crime by stealing her kid. She sarcastically informs him she's off to get her next victim. He insists he wants to protect her but she says there's nothing he should be concerned about protecting her from. Alexis tells Jason that Sam came to her and wanted to spend more time with Kristina but when she said no, Sam backed off. She calmly says she thinks that they need to find Sam and make her bring Kristina back. The phone rings. It's Sam who tells Jason she's in serious trouble. She does not say where she is. Jason does not tell Sonny or Alexis that he's got her on the line.

February 3, 2005
Alexis wants Jason to guarantee her that Sam won't hurt her kid. Jason says she won't. Alexis says he can either go get Sam or she'll call the cops. Alexis tells Jason she knows how Sam feels; she knows what it's like to make a mistake but not be able to take it back. Jason shakes her hand off him and says with disgust that Sam is nothing like Alexis. Well, he's got that part right. She begs him to go get her and bring Kristina back. Ric witnesses Alexis's desperation and finally realizes it's time to call the cops, and does. Jason and Alexis fight some more. Jason tells Ric he's gone to extraordinary lengths to get Sonny's kids before; he kidnapped a pregnant woman and chained her to a wall; he married Alexis. And when Alexis figured out what he was doing, she threw him out, and now he wants revenge. Suddenly Steven reappears and says he found proof. Ric finds Alexis all alone in Sonny's bedroom. <heh> He gets a call and she wonders what it's about. Jason tells Sonny he doesn't care what Ric and Alexis think about Sam but he wants Sonny to believe she's innocent. Ric arrives to confirm that the hair found beside Sonny's bed was a perfect match for one from Sam's hairbrush at Kelly's. Alexis thinks that Jason will help Sam get away. Sonny knows Jason will do the right thing.

February 4, 2005
Alexis tells Ric he thinks that Sonny might be the only one to be able to get through to Sam. Alexis enters the room and says that Sam is doing this to her. Alexis tells her that she knows what it's like when people try to keep you away from your child; everyone in this town did this to her. She says if she gives back Kristina she'll keep Sam out of jail; she kept Sonny out of jail for years. Sam says it's true she envied Alexis and she knew that Alexis wanted to keep Sam away from Kristina because she thinks she's trash but if something happened to Kristina it would be like her baby dying all over again. Alexis emerges and tells Jason that Sam wants to see him. Alexis tells Ric he has to go inside and tell Sam they have lots and lots of evidence against her. Sonny tells Ric if they want to find Kristina they have to let Sam go. Ric, Alexis and Sonny argue over what to do about Sam. Alexis says if they let her go they'll never get Kristina back. Alexis refuses to leave the PCPD. She remarks that it's breakfast time and she always makes Kristina toast. The toddler likes to stick her hand in the marmalade jar when she thinks her mother isn't looking and she won't eat her oatmeal unless there's a lot of brown sugar on it.

February 7, 2005
An officer says to Alexis that there's been a new developing in Kristina's kidnapping. Alexis and Ric enter. Ric already knows Reese. They hand Sonny the ransom note. Simply stated, it says "I have your daughter. She's safe". Apparently Officer Murphy found it in a storage box in Sam's room at Kelly's and her fingerprints are all over it. Alexis asks Sonny if Sam has admitted anything. Ric and Reese head off to try to retrace Sam's steps. Alone with Sonny, Alexis says "God help me but I can still read your mind. You're not going to sit idly by and let the authorities handle this." Sonny asks where she's going with this. Alexis says "do it. you do it. You do whatever it takes to get our daughter back" Alexis tells Sam she'll pay for her legal fees; she won't testify; she'll do anything to get her daughter back. Suddenly something explodes outside the window. Jason drags Sam way. They head out the gate. Suddenly Sonny stops them by pointing his gun on Jason and Sam. He instructs Jason to get out of the way.

February 8, 2005
Ric states the obvious -- that Sam's gone. Agent Marshall wants an APB put out on Sam. Alexis stops her and says she should let Sam go because she'll lead her straight to Kristina. Alexis remarks that if Sam ends up dead, she will never learn where her daughter is. Alexis wants Sonny to try to find Jason. Reese says she wants a list of Sonny's safehouses. He won't give it to her. She tells him she has no choice but to place him under arrest because she's convinced it was a conspiracy between Sam, Jason and Sonny to get the kid. Sonny laughs as she cuffs him. Reese puts on her Really Tough & Mean face. Alexis calmly points out that Ric claims to love her but that he accused her of kidnapping her own daughter. She finds it a wee bit odd that he won't even consider the possibility that his brother would do the same thing, but that he had no problem at all believing it of her. Alexis tells Sonny she doesn't want to argue because it's pointless. She says she just wants some answers. Alexis tells Sonny she'll do or say whatever he wants if he'll just bring Kristina back. He says he had no reason to take her away; he never wanted her separated from her mother. Their faces quite close, he says it had to have been someone with the resources and motivation to want to hurt him.

February 9, 2005
Alexis tells Sonny she believes in his innocence but she thinks that Jason and Sam are guilty. Alexis tells Durant that she doesn't want the department concentrating on prosecuting Sonny; all they should be doing is working on getting Kristina back. Alexis worries that Sonny won't give up Jason. Ric tells Alexis she's exhausted and he'd like to take her home. She tells him she'd prefer to go alone. Alexis heads into Kristina's room. She picks up Lamby, pressing her face into his soft fur. She curls up on Kristina's bed and weeps silently for her daughter.

February 11, 2005
Alexis makes a television plea for Kristina's safe return, citing her chronic medical condition as a reason to return her to a hospital. Steven agrees to go along with Alexis's plan to make it seem like Kristina could relapse as a way to scare the kidnapper into returning her. Alexis approaches Monica at the hospital. She tentatively asks Monica if she would contact her if Jason calls her again. Monica says she can't do it. Sonny sees Alexis's plea on TV. Reese says she didn't authorize this. Sonny didn't know Kristina was sick. Reese says it's a standard kidnapping ploy. Monica tells Alexis she won't help her. Sam gets Jason's pills from Monica. Alexis follows Sam into the stairwell and asks where Kristina is. Alexis and Sam argue. Alexis takes a tumble down the stairs. Sam looks at her, unsure of what to do.

February 14, 2005
Like nearly every woman in Port Charles before her, Alexis takes a tumble down a set of stairs. Sam turns to leave but doesn't. She bends over Alexis and tells her that she will be OK and as soon as she leaves the hospital she will call someone. Sam hears someone on the stairwell and calls for their help. It's Brook and she angrily asks Sam, "what did you do to Alexis"? Sam begs Brook to give her five minutes to escape. She does. Brook bends over Alexis and then takes off.
Alexis wants Ric to chase Sam. She says that she fell; Sam didn't push her. When Ric leaves, Alexis tells Brook to get her clothes so she can go after Sam. Tony enters and tells Alexis they have to run some tests. Tony shows up and Alexis tells him her back is sprained but she has to go now. He smiles and says there's nothing wrong -- she's just pregnant.

February 15, 2005
Alexis tells Tony she can't be pregnant. Ric enters and asks if she is OK. Alexis says Tony has to run more tests on her. Ric asks Alexis if everything came out OK on the tests. She says she's just worried about her child. Dr. Meadows tries to convince Alexis that every child is a blessing. Alexis says she wishes she could feel joy about this but she cannot because her child is missing.
Reese visits Alexis. She says without more to go on there's nothing they can do. Alexis tells her to wait. Alexis tells Ric they are having a baby. Ric promises Alexis that they will bring Kristina home safely. She cries.

February 16, 2005
Ric says there's no new news on Kristina. Dr. Meadows shows up and says there's a problem with the pregnancy. She says that Alexis's blood pressure is too high and she needs to relax because now -- the first trimester -- is when she's at greatest risk for a miscarriage. Elizabeth comes running after Alexis calls the nurses station. She tells her that she hasn't heard what happened at the park and that she knew Agent Marshall was staking the place out in order to catch the kidnappers. Liz doesn't know what to tell her. Liz finds Sonny by the elevators and tells him Alexis is a wreck because she hasn't heard anything from the FBI. Sonny enters Alexis's room. She asks if he's heard anything. Sonny tells her Kristina's probably dead, thanks to her. Sonny tells Alexis she went behind his back and called the Feds and that's why Kristina will probably die. Sonny continues to yell at her until Ric shows up and tells him she's pregnant. Sonny looks about as thrilled by this news as Alexis seemed upon hearing it for the first time earlier this week. He asks what he's supposed to do -- congratulate them? He says they can think of it this way -- if Kristina dies, at least she's got a back-up bun in the oven with his brother. Sonny walks off in disgust. Alexis tells Ric she has to find Agent Marshall. Ric wants her to relax. She stands up and begins to prepare to leave. Ric doesn't want Alexis to leave the hospital. Alexis wants to leave the hospital. She gets dressed and then collapses, telling Ric to go get someone.

February 17, 2005
Liz comes running when Ric calls. He tells her to call Dr. Meadows because he's worried that Alexis is miscarrying. Dr. Meadows asks Alexis how badly she wants this baby. Alexis admits she's going to be careful with this pregnancy. Sam watches Ric exit Alexis's room and then enters. Alexis apologizes for assuming Sam took Kristina. Sam says it's OK. Alexis thanks Sam for calling for help when she fell; if she hadn't have done that she might've lost the baby. Sam says she hopes everything works out for her, then leaves. Alexis and Carly are trapped in an unmoving elevator. Again. Alexis tells Carly she's pregnant. Carly tries to compose herself after hearing this news.

February 18, 2005
Alexis breaks down in tears upon telling Carly of her pregnancy. Carly asks, "I assume Ric's the father?". I guess she forgot Alexis isn't... well... other people. She always knows who her baby's daddy is. Carly tells her to stay in the hospital and take care of this baby. Carly tells Alexis that she's strong; she has reserves of strength she's never even tapped into yet and that she'll do what it takes to make things OK for this baby. Suddenly the elevator starts to move again. Alexis thanks Carly for her sage advice. When the elevator doors open Ric asks what is going on. Alexis tells Ric that Carly didn't upset her and she was just trying to help. Ric confesses that they think Faith's the person who has Kristina. Alexis has much the same reaction as Carly had upon learning Faith might be the culprit. She points out that Faith is a psychopath. After Alexis says that she told Sonny he would make Kristina a target, Carly calmly suggests that Faith had just as much reason to hate Ric and Alexis as she did to hate Sonny. Carly tells Alexis to calm down while reminding her that it's basically as much her fault as Sonny's that Faith took her kid. Alexis becomes understandably upset. Ric tries calming her down. It works swimmingly well. Ric gives Alexis a necklace as a belated Valentine's Day gift.

February 22, 2005
Ric reassures Alexis. Ric tells Alexis that she should try to send her love to Kristina telepathically -- maybe it will help her feel better. Alexis dreams that she introduces Kristina to her new baby daughter. Kristina seems pleased. Alexis wakes up and tells Ric she actually had a really nice dream. She says she needs to know what's going on. Ric makes no move to stop her from turning on the TV. The first story is about a major development in the Kristina Davis kidnapping case -- and shows a photo of Michael and Morgan. "Oh my God," says Alexis. Ric looks on. Ric reluctantly tells Alexis that Faith got away with five million dollars and all three children. Alexis doesn't think that they'll ever get her back.

February 23, 2005
Alexis shows up at Greystone. Carly doesn't seem to think she belongs there. Jason and Sam show up and say that they found a photo taken of a road sign. The picture was taken from a moving car. It shows a sign reading Julinette. Jason says there are 7 roads named Julinette; some in the USA and some in Canada. Apparently there was also another name on the sign and Stan is enlarging it right now. Alexis wants to tell the FBI but everyone else tells her not to. She's leaving to tell them when Reese shows up and asks if there's news. Sonny tells Jason to tell Agent Marshall what he knows. He heads outside. Alexis shows up and tells him she knows it was hard for him to co-operate with authority and she's very grateful that he did. She exits. Reese says that the bomb in Faith's room was much like one that a bomber used in a case that Durant prosecuted a couple of years ago. That perp got off with an unusually and unexplained light sentence. Reese, Sonny and Alexis try to get Carly to see that Durant might have arranged for this so that he could play hero by rescuing the children. Ric shows up and announces that's simply not what happened. Reese listens to Ric's protestations that Durant did this. She then says she has to go out. Sonny soon follows. Ric tells Alexis that he thought she was staying in bed. She says she had to do something to help. Carly tells Alexis that by coming to Greystone and tearing into Sonny she did nothing to help find their missing children. She says Alexis should've stayed in bed. She leaves. Alexis wonders if Ric feels the same way. He says that all he knows is that Alexis placed the child she's carrying in danger by coming to Sonny's. Ric tells Alexis that she put his child in jeopardy by venturing out in the world to find her baby with Sonny. He doesn't think she can help Kristina by doing this; she can only do harm to the child on the way.

Alexis spots the headline proclaiming Faith as the Pied Piper. She doesn't think it's a good idea but Ric thinks the more people who are looking for Kristina, the better.

February 25, 2005
Sonny catches Faith in the stairwell. He gets ready to shoot her, when Alexis comes running down the steps. She yells "No." Faith & Sonny struggle, and the gun goes off, in the direction of Alexis. Faith escapes, Sonny runs after her, both of them rushing past Alexis. Ric comes in & goes to Alexis, yelling to Sonny, asking what happened. Alexis tries to run after Faith & Sonny. Ric yells at her that it's risking their child. Alexis is back in a hospital bed, Ric tells her to relax. Alexis says she just didn't want Sonny to shoot Faith, she was afraid of losing their chance to find Kristina. Ric says he would have done the same thing. Ric goes to see Alexis, he has Angel Bear behind his back. Alexis tells him about a dream she had about Kristina, where Kristina told her she would be home soon & that Michael was taking care of her. He tells her they just have to believe, and gives her Angel Bear.

February 28, 2005
Durant shows up at the hospital to see Alexis & Ric. Durant suggests that Faith might be really out to stick it to Ric in all of this. Durant insults Alexis' knowledge of Ric's past. He mentions the panic room, and all the ways Ric has wronged Faith. Alexis defends Ric, and asks Durant to leave. Durant says his only concern is getting his grandsons back, and he'll asks any questions he needs to. Durant leaves. Alexis says she hates that man, he's like Carly with a law degree. Ric says that, in this case, Durant might be right. Ric tells Alexis that Faith told him she took Kristina to get back at him. Alexis tells him he's not responsible for what Faith does. Ric confesses that he knew Faith was in love with him, and that she was unstable, and he used her anyway. He says he didn't have to pay for any of it, he's reinvented himself and jumped all over the first chance to put away Faith he got. He says it's his fault. Alexis says she doesn't believe that & he shouldn't either. Alexis tells Ric not to blame himself, it's not his fault. It's neither of their fault, they couldn't have stopped it. Alexis begs Ric to not let Faith break him, because she needs him too much.

March 1, 2005
Ric goes into Alexis' room, she wakes up as he sits on the side of the bed. She tells him she dreamt about Kristina again, and she's sure they're going to find her. Ric makes a call & decides he's going to LA. Alexis says she's going with him. Alexis thanks Ric for relenting & allowing her to go with him to see if Kristina's been found. Dr. Meadows says she's sympathetic to Alexis' situation, with Kristina being gone, but she needs to be careful. She agrees to release Alexis with a set of guidelines to follow.

March 2, 2005
Faith's still unconscious when Alexis and Ric show up to inquire about her condition. Sonny tells them that Michael called him from a cell phone; the line then went dead before he heard a gunshot. Alexis and Carly step aside. Alexis reassures Carly who does the same. Meanwhile, Ric apologizes to Sonny for setting the wheels of this train wreck in motion. Sonny says it's no more Ric's fault then his; Faith's a nutcase and she's been that way since before this mess began. Lorenzo stands a mere six feet from Alexis as Reese says that there was a toddler-sized footprint next to the tire tracks. She then mentions the blood that was found at the church matches Michael's DNA. Suddenly she gets a phone call from Sheriff Baker indicating he might have found a grave. Alexis reassures Carly that Michael is OK. She points out that he's fiercely loyal and that she'll be eternally grateful that he stayed in captivity in order to protect her daughter. She kisses Carly on the forehead and gives her a quick hug. Carly tells her tearfully that she can thank Michael herself when he comes home. Ric gets a call that a car matching the description of the one whose tire tracks were found has just been turned in at the airport. Reese announces to the assembled crowd that two children are scheduled to leave on an airplane unaccompanied to a family who will adopt them in Arizona. They all head off for the airport except for Jason and Sam. Jason points out she said two children; not three. Kristina and Morgan are returned to their parents. It's a tearful situation. Sonny asks Kristina if she knows where her brother is.

March 3, 2005
Liz shows up to tell Kristina and Alexis that Steven ran a complete screen on Kristina and that she's fine. Elizabeth congratulates Alexis on her pregnancy. Alexis says that Ric's been overprotective and she knows why -- it's because of the baby that she and Ric lost. Elizabeth says it was Faith's fault for pushing her down the stairs at Rice Plaza. Emily shows up and learns that Michael is still missing. Ric hands Kristina a bouquet of balloons. Alexis says she can't wait to go home. Ric says that it's all right for her to feel happy now. Alexis says that Kristina is sitting there acting like nothing ever happened. She wonders why Faith let Kristina go and Michael die. Ric tells Alexis that their daughter deserves for them to go on like nothing ever happened. Elizabeth shows up to tell Alexis she can take Kristina home. Kristina holds tight to her bouquet of balloons as she and Alexis exit the room.

March 4, 2005
Alexis tells Jax she's pregnant and that she'll represent Courtney. Alexis shows up with Kristina to visit Ric at his office. Kristina, wearing bare legs in March, smiles as Alexis tells Ric that so far all she's said is that Michael is gone.

March 7, 2005
Alexis shows up and tells Faith she's forgetting it's her marriage too. Alexis tells Faith there is nothing she can say to shake her faith in her husband. Ric and Alexis exit the room and he tells her he appreciates her vote of confidence. Alexis says there is nothing that he could ever do to make her doubt him because they've been through too much together. At the courthouse Lorenzo shows up to tell Ric he'll testify against Faith if need be. Alexis, standing beside Lorenzo, listens as Ric says it won't be necessary, although he really has no clue what Faith plans to do. Jason shows up and asks Faith who paid her to kidnap Michael. Jason tells Faith he knows someone has been paying her and screams that he wants to know who. Alexis and Lorenzo watch the situation unfold and then bolt away from one another. Alexis tells Ric she doesn't know how Jason, Carly and Sonny are dealing with this because it would be impossible to get over the loss of a child. In the courtroom, Alexis is sitting beside Reese. Faith stands up, with great difficulty (and wearing handcuffs) and says she pleads not guilty. Durant stands up quickly and makes his way to the back of the courtroom.

March 8, 2005
Alexis wants Ric to take her to the hospital because she has pain. Liz comforts Alexis when Ric brings her in and then heads out to find Dr. Meadows. Ric tells Alexis that she's fine but she needs to get some rest. Liz tells him that if he wants to question Faith, the time is now. Left alone with Alexis, the women talk about Faith. Liz says that if she had known from the time it happened that it was Faith who was responsible for her miscarriage instead of Sonny, then perhaps it wouldn't have been the beginning off the end of her marriage. Elizabeth admits she holds Faith responsible for the death of her marriage and the death of her child. She says that Alexis is giving Ric the family that he's always wanted. She bolts from the room, clearly upset. Ric shows up to update Alexis that Faith doesn't appear to be waking up. Alexis asks Ric if he and Elizabeth hadn't lost the baby, would they still be married? Ric tells Alexis he's done a lot of things that he can't change but that he wouldn't change what they have for anything in the world. They embrace.

March 10, 2005
Emily gives Bobbie some reports. Bobbie asks her why she hasn't gone home yet. Alexis comes by and Emily asks how she is. She says she and the baby are fine and she can go home. Bobbie tells her to take care of herself, and Alexis says she will now that Kristina is home and that she prays Michael is all right. Emily offers to drive Alexis home. Alexis asks if Viola had any trouble getting Kristina down. Viola says she tried hard to stay awake to see her mama, but she was so tired. Alexis thanks her for coming by and Viola says it's good to have Kristina back. Viola leaves and them Alexis tells Emily she should go home and get some rest. Emily tries to take care of Alexis, but Alexis insists she looks tired and needs to take care of herself and points out that Monica would have a fit if she saw how worn down she looks. Alexis apologizes for not being able to be there for Nikolas. Emily says he's lonely and that she misses him. Alexis assures her that now that Kristina is home, she will get to work on Nik's appeal. Emily seems less than thrilled to hear this, but Alexis points out there's hope since people have seen Helena. Emily says she's not going to get her hopes up, and Alexis says while she's not known for her optimism, Emily should at least try to hope. Alexis says trust Ric to hide all her caffeine and replace it with herbal tea now that she's pregnant. She points out that Emily changed the subject when she brought up Nik and asks if there's a problem. Emily says all she wants is for Nik to come home to make this all worthwhile--her killing Connor, Lucky getting shot. Alexis assures Emily prison will not change Nik and that when he comes home, he will be just as devoted to her as ever. Emily says she feels like something in her has been damaged or lost. Alexis tells her she and Nik work through it together like they always do, and she's just tired. She points out they both need rest, so Emily says she's going home. Alexis thanks her for the ride and Emily leaves.
Kristina, looking adorable, gets some juice from Mommy, who woke her up 'cause she missed her. Ric comes in and Alexis admits she woke Kristina up 'cause she needed a hug. Seeing how upset Ric is, Alexis goes over to him an says he might need a hug, too. She asks if they found "him." Ric says they have proof, Michael is gone. Ric tends the fire at the apartment. Alexis comes back into the room and hugs him and says that a week ago, she didn't know if she'd ever see her daughter again, and now they're together and Kristina's safe. Ric says he's grateful for that. She says she wishes everyone could have a happy ending. She tells Ric he's helped her so much, and asks him to let her help him. He talks about all the years he spent being jealous of Sonny, how he wanted to see the look on his brother's face when he beat him. He cries and says he didn't want this. Alexis hugs him.

March 14, 2005
At Greystone Ric tells Sonny that he and Alexis have brought Kristina. Ric says that they haven't told her about Michael yet but that she's been asking about her brother. Ric says if there's anything he needs, he and Alexis will do their best to provide it. Sonny places a hand on Ric's shoulder and thanks him. He heads into the room with Kristina and Alexis. Kristina's eyes light up when she sees her father. Fighting tears, Alexis watches Kristina and Sonny. Sonny explains to Kristina that Michael's in heaven with the angels. Alexis touches his shoulders to comfort him. He smiles at Kristina. At the memorial Ric and Alexis wonder why Agent Marshall is there.

March 18, 2005
Alexis tells Ric he doesn't have to go to every pre-natal appointment with her. He mentions that he just had a few questions and now they've all been answered. They witness Liz looking upset. Alexis suggests Ric find out what's wrong with her. He heads over to do so; Alexis watches. Liz tells Ric that she doesn't know how to help Emily -- she's in denial and she's trying to help Lucky and the situation isn't good for anyone. Ric takes her hand gently and says that if he knows her she'll be at Wyndemere each and every day trying to ease the tension. They smile... and Alexis steps off the elevator to witness this moment. Ric gets a phone call and Alexis tells him he can take it. Alone with Elizabeth, she tells her that he's a slave to his cell phone. Liz says that every once in awhile he can get away from it; he surprised her a few times. Liz suggests it's Alexis's turn to surprise Ric. She looks at him and wonders how to do that. Ric tells Alexis it's time to go file some briefs. She says they can get up early and do it in the morning because she wants him to take her for a ride. Ric wonders why he and Alexis have elected to park in the middle of nowhere. She kisses him. They awkwardly try to move to the backseat. She mentions this was easier when she was sixteen and she went parking with Seth Lane Whitlow, a very tall boy with blue-green eyes. He adjusts the seats so that they lower. He shifts to her side. They kiss. Alexis and Ric are kissing. Suddenly a large light floods across their windshield and a loud horn is heard.

March 21, 2005
Alexis lies motionless after the car crash. She has a gash above her right eyebrow. Ric sits up and glass shards fall out of his hair. He tries to move but realizes his legs are pinned. He reaches for his cell phone but it's too far away. Ric pushes his way outside the car where he finds his cell phone has no signal. He calls into the wilderness for someone, anyone, to help them. He heads back into the car and finds that Alexis is trapped in the car. Ric drags Alexis out of the car. She's missing her left shoe and her bare stomach is exposed to the cold elements. He promises her it will be all right. He promises he will get them some help somehow.
