Alexis tells Sam & Jason that Jason will have to testify. Sam accuses Alexis of being fixated on Sonny. Sam asks Alexis why she doesn't make Sonny go to court since it would give her an excuse to see him. Alexis tells them she's only defending Faith as a favor to Justus. She goes to pick up Kristina and the doctor says he's glad she brought her in because now they can catch a complication early. Alexis shows up at Ric's office. She's upset because Kristina needs glasses. Alexis tells Ric that she doesn't want Kristina to be made fun of by the other kids; to be called four-eyes and an intellectual. She wants her daughter to be normal; to be considered attractive. Ric tells her that women with glasses are very attractive. In order to reassure her, he kisses her. It's kind of like watching two porcupines mate -- very carefully and not in a very cute manner. Ric awkwardly pushes Alexis back against his desk. Stuff falls down. John Durant shows up and apologizes for interrupting Ric on an obviously busy work day

September 16, 2004
Alexis leaves John and Ric alone together. John asks Ric if that was Alexis. Alexis gets Faith to take the deal. She tells Justus and Sonny that she'll take the deal. Sonny suggests Justus go with her when she speaks to Ric because she'll need a chaperone since they clearly can't keep their hands off each other. Sonny touches Alexis's earlobe and tells her that she's missing an earring. He's curious where she lost it -- in a broom closet or on Ric's desk. As Ric approaches and eavesdrops, Alexis tells Sonny they do it all over town in any number of public places. Sonny tries not to look jealous as Alexis tells him that his brother's an amazing man who rocks her body and soul like no man ever has. Suddenly Ric makes his presence known. Sonny tells Alexis that perhaps and Ric have a few minutes before they go to court so they can have a quickie. Ric tells Sonny that Alexis prefers not to take part in quickies. He tells her he'll wait in his office if she wants to finish what they started. Ric leaves. Alexis tells Sonny that both he and his brother are egotistical pigs. Alexis tells Faith she got the maximum sentence of ten years, real time. Faith swears revenge on Alexis, Ric, Sonny and the people they love. Alexis glances at Ric... and settles her gaze on Sonny.

September 17, 2004
Sonny tells Ric if he wanted Faith dead, he would've killed her in the tunnels underneath the Cassadine place. Alexis rolls her eyes. Sonny points out it's embarrassing that the DA slept with a convicted felon. (Would this felon be Faith or Alexis? Not sure) Alexis pulls Ric away and asks if she can have a word with him. Sonny tells Jason that he won't have Faith killed. Sonny reassures Justus that Faith is not worth whatever he's giving up to save her. Alexis, alone with Ric, tells him that Sonny made two good points. Ric isn't thrilled to hear her pointing out Sonny's attributes. Alexis tells Ric regrettably she thinks Sonny won that round and hopes he has a plan B. He says he's not the only person trying to take his brother down and points out someone else might be waiting in the wings. Ric tells Alexis that he'd like to think he would've been a good father to the baby that he and Elizabeth would've had. She tells him maybe one day he'll get the chance. (Foreshadowing much? hmmm) Felicia shows up with a nurse who was working the night Mary died. The nurse says it's not so much what she knows but what she saw. Alexis thinks it might be pertinent to the case so she wants to listen in. Nik & Em show up at the PCPD and wonder why. Alexis tells them a witness came forward but she doesn't know details because she was excluded from the conversation. She seems, like, surprised, to have been excluded from the conversation, even though in any normal PD she would've been. I guess the PCPD breaks so many rules that it seemed like there was no way they wouldn't have broken this one too in order to give her a heads-up for her client. Too funny. Ric accuses Lucky of lying in order to protect Emily. Ric tells Mac that he wants Lucky suspended without pay. He then says he wants to put together a few other charges so he'd better wait around. Alexis asks Emily if she's talked to her attorney. Nikolas suggests she call Jason. Alexis says she doesn't want Jason involved but says she'll do what she can in the meantime. She also asks what happened the night Mary died. Alexis tells Ric if he has Emily arrested she'll get her out immediately. Ric agrees to let her go but tells her not to leave town.

September 23, 2004
Alexis has called Ric to "The Cellar" to discuss how Skye's prison escape will affect her appeal. He'd rather discuss the conversation she had at the PCPD wherein she told Sonny he rocked her body and soul. Alexis tells Ric that women are adept at faking it. She says that her hyperbolic praise of his sexual prowess is only for effect. Steven and Elizabeth show up. Steven meets Alexis. Steven and Liz move out of range. Alexis asks how he came to hire his ex-wife's brother. He says he'd rather get back to the sex talk. Alexis persists in asking how Ric hired Steven. Ric says that he hired him because he was shoved down his throat. Alexis tells Ric that she was thinking about him and Liz and that it would be natural for her to be the rebound girl for him. She says she doesn't want to be that person again. He grabs her arm forcefully and says that if she thinks he would hurt her, she would be wrong. Ric tells Alexis that he has never had an affair and cast the woman off without a second glance. (Um, Faith? ) Alexis says that she doesn't want to be "the other woman," who is cast aside when he goes back to his wife. Ric tells her he wouldn't seduce someone to stroke his own ego. Ric tells Alexis that his marriage with Elizabeth is over because there have been too many mistakes. Liz shows up to overhear the last part.

September 24, 2004
Call him oversensitive, but Nikolas is slightly taken aback when Alexis shows up (in a blue dress) with Ric by her side. He says he won't ask Ric to leave out of respect for his aunt, but he needs to stay away from the guests of honor whom he's prosecuting. Ric tells Alexis he told her that he shouldn't have accompanied her, but she insisted. Alexis tells Nikolas she's not as insensitive as she appears by bringing Ric to the party. She says there's a plan. Alexis asks Ric if he really thinks Emily killed Mary. Ric says he wishes there were evidence to point elsewhere. Alexis admits she enjoys seeing him squirming and uncomfortable. He suggests perhaps with the presence of Helena and Tracy, maybe one of them could wear the bad guest badge for awhile. Helena curses Emily and Nikolas, as she cursed Luke and Laura some twenty-three years ago. She tells them that their happiness will bring nothing but pain for them and those around them. The lights go out; Helena exits through a tunnel. When they go back on, a candle is burning Emily's wedding dress sketch.

September 27, 2004
Liz explains how Helena's curse hurt Luke & Laura. Alexis backs her up. Emily thinks they're nuts. Nikolas emerges and says the nurse died before she could say what she was lying about so all they know now is that she lied about something. Justus, Alexis, Ric, Lucky, Nik and Liz stand around trying to figure out who killed Mary. Monica shows up and gives them the good news that she died from a hematoma.

October 1, 2004
Ric and Alexis are breakfasting at Kelly's as the camera swoops by them and focuses on Courtney and Mike. Courtney tells him that she's getting a foster child, and that Jax hasn't responded to her letter. Ric asks Alexis what's wrong. She says that Kristina's been spiking a fever; that she's been cranky and not eating. Alexis thinks she's possibly worrying for nothing, but she is still worrying. Ric tells Alexis it's not like her to wonder about Kristina's health. He says that he thinks he has the right doctor to use for a second opinion. Alexis and curly-haired Kristina meet up with Ric and curly-haired Steven at the hospital. Alexis is worried about the tests Steven plans to run but he reassures her that they'll be OK. He takes off with Kristina. Ric tries to distract Alexis. It doesn't really work. Steven shows up and announces he has a theory about what's wrong with Kristina.

October 4, 2004
Steven tells Ric that a few of Kristina's test results were right on the borderline and he won't worry Alexis until he knows more. Alexis shows up and Steven leaves. She asks Ric what he's not telling her about her daughter. Ric asks Alexis why they stopped talking as soon as she showed up. Ric says that they were talking about the Mary Bishop case. Alexis doesn't buy it. An angry Alexis confronts Ric on the docks. She tells him she knows he was lying when he said he was talking to Steven about Mary's murder, and that she knows it was about her and Kristina. Alexis tells Ric that she knows he was talking to Steven about her "asthma". She tells him she carries a paper bag around for herself and asks if she'll have to carry one around for Kristina too. And what if she only has one and they both have a panic attack simultaneously? Who gets the bag? Ric is amused and decides to calm her down with a kiss.

October 5, 2004
Heather calls Ric who's dining with Alexis but has to hang up. Alexis, wearing a gray turtleneck sweater and charcoal blazer, tells Ric that she's worried about Nikolas and Emily. At the hospital, Alexis and Ric show up to find Nik and Em leaving. Ric tells them that she doesn't have to fake there being something wrong with her because Alexis got him to agree to delay the trial. Nikolas plays with Emily's hair and Alexis tells Ric that to a Cassadine, the curse is very real. Alexis explains that Helena cursed her mother and that she started having unexplained accidents. Then one day Mikkos took her away and when they returned all was righted... until. Tracy shows up to eavesdrop. Ric asks incredulously "until when?" Having not told him about her mother's death before, Alexis tells him that Helena slit her mother's throat. Tracy is surprised. Alexis calls Kristina who tells her she's feeling better. She hears a noise. (It's Skye). She asks who's there but no one answers.

October 6, 2004
Alexis shows up at the PCPD and tells Skye not to make a statement. She does anyway. Alexis calls Jax to tell him that she's with Skye at the PCPD and she's asking for him. At the PCPD Alexis plants Skye in a room and tells her to stay there. She then tells Ric she needs more time and, playing on their personal relationship, implores him to give her said time. Ric grants Alexis more time. She thanks him. At the PCPD Heather watches Alexis with Skye. She tells Edward that Alexis is almost done. Edward goes to see Skye and tries reassuring her. Alexis tells Ric she wants to have Luke's letter re-examined and hopefully find DNA on it which will prove someone else might've touched it. He calls the hospital to have Dr. Steven Webber paged. Alexis tells Steven she wants to prove someone other than Luke had a hand in producing that letter.

October 8, 2004
Helena shows up at PCPD to inquire from Ric about the Mary Bishop case. Alexis shows up. Helena and Alexis exchange barbs while Ric watches on..."Natasha uses hostility to compensate for the skills she lacks" Alexis says she wants a word with Mrs. Cassadine alone. Alexis and Helena continue their banter. Alexis says that she knows what Helena is doing to Emily, same thing as her mother. Helena says Alexis's mother was nothing more than an a bauble. Their conversation ends with Alexis saying she'll kill Helena before Emily ends up like her mother. Natasha and Helena continue their exchange. Calls her Alexis her "silly mouse". Helena threatens "precious little Kristina" before walking away. Ric asks her if she's okay and she says yes. She needs to call to make sure that Kristina's okay. Ric asks where's Nikolas. She wonders where her nephew went. Nikolas and Helena have an chat about how Emily is going to die. Alexis is heard pounding on the door asking Nikolas what he's doing in side as grandson and grandmother have an intense meeting of the minds over the worthlessness of Emily.

October 11, 2004
Helena & Nikolas at the PCPD. Helena tells Nikolas that to save Emily, he should let her go. He puts a hand around her throat. Ric & Alexis knock on the interrogation room door and want to know what's going on. Helena whispers something about a garden as Nikolas squeezes her neck harder. Ric, Alexis & two officers bust in and pry Nikolas away from Helena. Helena wants a moment alone with Nik and Nikolas assures Alexis he won't kill Helena. Alexis & Ric stand outside and decide its time to interrupt the conversation. At that moment, an officer comes up and says that Skye has escaped from her prison van. Alexis goes to Wyndemere and Nikolas & Em ask her about the island. She says it sound familiar. Nikolas & Em decide to go to Greece, although Alexis thinks it's not a great idea.

October 14, 2004
Michael is being examined by a doctor for an injury which isn't life-threatening when Alexis blows in with Kristina who's feverish. She wants the doctor to look at her immediately. Alexis gives Kristina to the doctor to run some tests. She sees the doctor speak to Sonny and asks him if he said something about Kristina. Michael says it was about him. Michael then tells Alexis that she should talk to Dr. Webber about making Kristina well because he fixed Morgan. Bobbie shows up and takes Michael to help her page Dr. Webber. Alone with Sonny, Alexis asks about Morgan's illness. Sonny says it has nothing to do with Kristina, after all, "it's not like they're related". Sonny tries to reassure Alexis. Dr. Webber shows up and she asks if he purposely sent her home with a sick child. He tries to calm her down but it doesn't work out. Sonny witnesses the whole thing. Alexis walks away. Steven asks Sonny if he knows Kristina's father and if he could call him or someone else to come calm Alexis down. He says he'll see what he can do. Sonny looks at Alexis, clearly worried. Sonny asks Alexis if she wants him to call Ned or the Qs. She says that Ned's out of town right now and that she can't deal with the Qs at the present moment. Michael shows up with herbal tea. Alexis thanks him. Ric shows up and Alexis tells him Kristina's sick again. Sonny watches them together. Michael asks Sonny if Alexis is really worried and he says yes. Sonny says there's nothing worse for a parent than when their child is sick. Alexis asks Ric if Sonny called him. Ric says that for once his brother did the right thing. Alexis asks Carly if she knows anything about Sonny's family history; if he was sick as a child. Carly says she doesn't know and if she starts asking too many questions, Sonny might figure out he's Kristina's father. Carly asks Alexis if she's ready for that. Carly says she'll do what she can to find out Sonny's medical history. Alexis tells her to be careful because the last thing she needs now, on top of everything else, is a custody battle. Steven shows up and tells Alexis that Kristina's condition has stabilized. In front of Carly and Sonny, Alexis asks "she's really sick, isn't she"?

October 15, 2004
It's suggested that Kristina has fifths disease. Steven doesn't seem to agree. Ric tries to reassure Alexis. She apologizes and then heads back in to check on Kristina. Alone with Steven, Ric says it's too early to confirm but he thinks he knows what might be wrong with her. Alexis reassures Kristina and tells her to close her eyes. Ric shows up at the room to comfort Alexis. Sonny shows up and looks on. Alexis brightly tells Sonny that Kristina's fine. Ric says he has to go. Sonny tells Alexis he's really glad that Kristina's going to be OK. Alexis seems touched. Outside the room Ric tells Sonny that he has to hear this -- Kristina is far from out of the woods and they are waiting for test results now. He says that Alexis will be devastated if something happens to her daughter. Alexis is shown hugging Kristina. Kristina's test results are in. The doctors head over to tell Alexis. In yet another slow-motion montage, we see John hugging Carly closer and Carly smiling; Lana shooting the gun through her purse; Ric trying to move out of the way; people hitting the ground; Sonny shielding Michael's head and Alexis looking up at the TV in the lounge.

October 18, 2004
Alexis and Steven watch the news coverage that Steven's been shot. Michael learns that his mother's OK. Alexis interrupts Michael and Sonny to accuse Sonny of trying to have Ric shot.
Alexis tells Sonny it's clear he was aiming at Ric but Durant got in the way. Sonny, stunned, denies it. Steven tells Sonny to stay put since the police will likely want to question him. Michael eavesdrops on the whole conversation. Alexis harasses a nurse to find out if anyone else has been shot. When Alexis sees Ric step off the elevator she hugs him. Alexis tells Ric she's glad he's OK. He's glad she's glad. Alexis tells Ric he's reading too much into her reaction to his not getting shot. She tells him she's going to read Kristina a bedtime story and asks if he wants to accompany her.

October 20, 2004
Alexis overhears Steven telling Ric that he hopes nothing serious develops with Kristina. Alexis is worried. Steven tells Alexis that Kristina's resilient; he then leaves. Ric's brought Alexis a blueberry scone and black coffee. Alexis tells Ric that she thinks she trusts him. She says she cares about him. Alexis points out that Helena doesn't really like it when she's thwarted. Emily and Nikolas tell her that their love will triumph or something like that. Alexis tells Emily and Nikolas they still should worry about Helena. Just then, Courtney shows up and tells Alexis that Jax is at the PCPD. In an eerily familiar scene, Alexis leaves the bedside of her now-on-the-mend daughter in order to go and get Jax out of jail. Interestingly enough, Alexis asks Nikolas and Emily to stay with the kid. I think the 2002 babysitter was better -- at least he stuck around! FIFTEEN SECONDS after Alexis leaves, so do NEm. Wow, talk about trustworthy. They run into Helena who tells them that they shouldn't revel in their newfound sense of triumph because it won't last -- that's exactly how Alexis's mother felt before she slit her throat. At the PCPD Alexis tells Ric he's right -- Jax did commit a crime. She wishes that he'd just look the other way so she can get back to her daughter. Ric agrees to free Jax so Alexis can go back to her daughter. Emily and Kristina (in her pink/lilac bathrobe) are in the chapel. Helena walks in with a knife. Emily tells Kristina how wonderful the wedding will be with all the flowers. Kristina repeats "flowers" hopefully. Helena brandishes the knife behind Emily. Suddenly Alexis shows up and sees Helena, the knife, her daughter and Emily.

October 21, 2004
Helena brandishes a knife behind Emily and Kristina. Alexis walks in and sees it. "Oh my God," she says. Alexis tells Emily to get Kristina out of there. She does. Alexis and Helena argue. Nikolas shows up and Helena takes Alexis hostage. Nikolas tells Helena she won't get away with this. Helena says she'll slit Alexis's throat without a second thought if he doesn't back away. Nikolas steps aside to allow Helena to take off with Alexis at an extremely slow pace. Helena and Alexis have only made it as far as the elevator. Suddenly the elevator doors open and it's Ric to the rescue. (Can't you just hear the "Lone Ranger" theme right now...) Helena backs Alexis into the elevator. Ric pretends to look scared but suddenly lunges at Helena. He knocks the knife out of her hand. Alexis flies out of the elevator. Just then, the elevator doors close and Helena's gotten away! Nikolas, NOT the law enforcement guy in this situation, takes the stairs to go get her. Meanwhile, inside the elevator, Helena melts to the floor in a puddle, fondling her knife, like the Wicked Witch in "Wizard Of Oz". Alexis tells Ric she felt the same way just now as she did when she was eight (um, wasn't it nine? and then four? and then seven? and now eight? OK) years old and Helena held a knife to her mother's throat. Ric says she's brave & strong & then they hug. Nikolas and Emily tell Alexis they're going to cancel their wedding so that they won't be a threat to Helena. Alexis doesn't want them to do that. Ric tells Nikolas and Emily that it's obvious that Helena killed Mary and he'll "find" some evidence to prove that. They're grateful that of all the times Ric's agreed to break the law, finally, finally, finally it's in a manner which will benefit them.

October 22, 2004
Alexis, on her cell phone, steps into the elevator. As a hand keeps the doors from closing she gasps. Ned apologizes for startling Alexis. Ned apologizes for being gone when she needed him. He wants her to go back to the Qs. She says that both she and her daughter need to be at home, and that Helena won't risk coming after her again so soon. Alexis brings Kristina (wearing a pink coat) home from the hospital. She hands her daughter a huge overstuffed gray & white puppy and asks if she can take it into the bedroom and get her jammies. Kristina toddles off. Alexis says she needs to put her feet up for like two seconds. She lays on the couch and her high-heeled foot is on top of lamby pie. She closes her eyes as Helena hovers. Ric shows up to interrupt Helena. They announce that Helena's jet is somewhere over the ocean at the moment. Helena seems pleased. Kristina toddles out with her jammies. Alexis says she knew she'd pick out the purple ones because they're her favorite. Ric picks up Lamby Pie and asks Kristina who this is. Alexis takes off her jacket and they both notice Kristina has bruises on her arms. They decide to bring Lamby with them to the hospital. They leave. Helena looks disappointed. Alexis, her hair down, brings Kristina back to the hospital. Steven says that they have to run more tests. He and Kristina leave. Alexis threatens to sue people.

October 25, 2004
Alexis is horrified to first learn that Kristina's best chance is to have a bone marrow transplant; secondly, that Ric is not hearing this for the first time, but that he's known for awhile, and kept it from her. Sonny looks on. Steven suggests they test her now. Alexis doesn't see why they should waste anymore time, and, after blasting Ric some more, takes off with Steven after Sonny interrupts. Sonny tries to talk to Ric but he tells his brother there's nothing he can do and he best stay out of it. Carly asks Alexis what she'll do if she's not a match -- if she'll tell Sonny he's Kristina's father. Alexis tells Carly that revealing Sonny as Kristina's father would also endanger her life. She says she's got a lot of difficult decisions to make and that she'd prefer it if Carly didn't pressure her. Ned shows up. Carly wishes him luck, then leaves. Alexis tells him the doctors will want to test his bone marrow and that he should just go along with it because it will make things easier. He says he'll do anything she wants. Steven shows up and announces that Alexis and Kristina's bone marrow are not a match. Ned meets Steven and then they go off to be tested. Ric shows up. Alexis tells him she's not a match. She then says she is going to visit Kristina and asks Ric to tag along. Alexis whispers to Kristina that she's going to find a way to make her better. Ric does some schtick with a stuffed puppy to try to entertain Kristina as Alexis looks blissfully on at the man who, along with her incompetent doctor, has just kept her daughter's possible life-threatening medical condition from her. Ric wants to take the Davis girls to the park once Kristina recovers. Kristina looks to Alexis for reassurance after his little speech. Alexis tells Ric if he ever gives up his job as DA he could get a job hosting a children's TV show. Steven says he needs to speak to her privately. Ric says he'll go sit with Kristina. Steven looks at Alexis incredulously and says with a straight face that while she might not be aware of it, Ned is not Kristina's father. He says that no matter what the personal ramifications are, we need to know who Kristina's father is. Cue Sonny who walks in to hear that last part.

October 26, 2004
Alexis spirits Steven away and tells him that Kristina has other relatives such as Nikolas. Ric tries to get Sonny to leave Alexis alone. Ric tells Sonny he has no place here, and that his presence upsets Alexis. Sonny replies that Kristina's a sweet kid and that he's just concerned.
Sonny finds Alexis and asks if she's seen Alcazar. She tells him she thought he left, and that she's got bigger things to worry about then what the local criminals are doing. Nikolas shows up at the hospital and goes to get the test done. Carly approaches Alexis and Alexis says she doesn't want to tell Sonny until all other options have been exhausted. Nikolas isn't a match for Kristina. He tells her that Helena's dead. Alexis says she doesn't care. She tells him to go home. Brook shows up to get tested. Ned asks Alexis what she's going to do where Sonny's concerned. She says that he might not even be a match, and that she'll exhaust every other possibility first before telling him. At the hospital Alexis expresses regret over having not allowed Brook to meet Kristina sooner. Alexis says that she's afraid no matter what choice she makes, she'll lose her little girl.

October 27, 2004
Steven tells Alexis that not all of Kristina's relatives have been tested. She says she won't let anything happen to her daughter. She then heads into Kristina's hospital room and reassures her sick baby girl. Sam shows up to see Kristina. Alexis tells her they are waiting to get a bone marrow donor. Sam says that she worries when her baby is moving and when she's not. Alexis says that will never change -- there will never be a time where, as a parent, you won't put your child's needs ahead of your own. Sam says if there is anything she can do, to tell her. Alexis says maybe there is. Sam tells Alexis to hang in there. Steven shows up and Alexis asks how old a bone marrow donor must be and asks if a baby or a small child can give bone marrow. Steven tells Alexis a child has to be one year old before they can act as a marrow donor. He then says that he's sure she has her reasons for keeping Kristina's paternity a secret but she's jeopardizing her daughter's health by doing so. Jason shows up to see Alexis and Kristina. She thanks him for being tested. She then says that when she was representing him so very long ago during the custody trial, it all came down to biology and that wasn't fair. She says that he was the only one who put Michael's needs first and the only one who valued him above all others. Ric shows up to eavesdrop. Jason asks why she is telling him this. Beginning to almost shake, she unsteadily says that her baby is very sick. Suddenly Ric shows up and says "Alexis don't do this". She whirls around angrily wondering why he's interrupted. Ric goes off on Jason for being there with Alexis. Jason points out that Alexis asked him to be there. Steven shows up to announce that a donor has been found.

October 28, 2004
Kristina's donor is a woman who lives just outside of town and she's on her way to the hospital now. Jason tells Alexis she's glad that Kristina will be OK. He then asks what she was going to tell him earlier. Alexis makes excuses to Jason and then he leaves. She heads into Kristina's room to reassure her daughter. She tells Kristina that she'll do anything she wants when they get home from the hospital as she strokes her daughter's forehead lovingly. Ned arrives at the hospital and Alexis tells him she almost told Jason the truth. She says that because he lied about Michael's paternity, she thought he might understand, and thus explain it to Sonny. Ned thinks it's a good idea that he didn't. Alexis tells Ned that she wants to include Kristina in his family's life. She says she's had to rethink a lot of decisions that she's made, and that she wants him to be a part of Kristina's life. He says that Sonny's not a problem anymore. She says that's not exactly true. Nikolas shows up to overhear the last part and asks Alexis if Sonny's causing some sort of trouble. Alexis and Ned cover with Nikolas about Kristina. Nikolas tells Kristina that once she gets better he'll teach her how to ride. Alexis isn't happy with that idea. Alexis stands vigil at Kristina's bedside, still. Alexis is distraught when Steven tells her the marrow donor died on the way to the hospital. Sonny shows up right on cue as Steven asks if all relatives have been tested.

October 29, 2004
Alexis admits not all the blood relatives have been tested. Raising a protective hand to comfort her, Sonny says if she needs anything. She asks him to wait. Alexis tells Sonny that she's had to make a lot of difficult choices when it comes to Kristina. Suddenly Bobbie shows up to tell Steven, Ric, Alexis and Sonny that Kristina's gone into respiratory distress. Steven updates Ric on Kristina's condition instead of, oh, say, Kristina's mother. Steven heads out. Alexis tells Ric that she needs him to be tested because she thinks he might be a match. She then says "She's your niece. Sonny is Kristina's father". "I never intended to use this against you. I would never exploit your connection to Sonny," Alexis tells Ric. She then makes him promise to never use this against Sonny to hurt him. Ric says Kristina will lead a long and healthy life. What he neglects to mention is that he's known for over six months about Kristina's paternity... and that the words she's just said to him could just as easily be coming from his lips, directed towards her. Steven arrives to tell Alexis that Kristina's condition has stabilized. Ric goes to get tested. Alexis leans over her daughter's crib continuing to pray for her recovery. Alexis decides she's going to tell Sonny the truth about Kristina. Carly shows up and tells Alexis she's going to tell him tonight.

November 1, 2004
With false bravado Carly struts around telling Alexis that she didn't tell Sonny the truth because Alexis bullied her and begged her not to. She says she's going to tell Sonny the truth. She turns to go and Ric says "that's not how it's gonna happen, Carly". Ric tells her that if she tells Sonny the truth and he tries to take Kristina, he'll stop him personally. Liz shows up to tell Ric he has an important phone call. Alexis tells him to take it because she wants to talk to Carly alone. Carly's incredibly angry that Alexis told Ric before she told Sonny. Alexis says "I am admitting to you that I was wrong and I am begging you to help me and I am asking you to help me when the time comes". Carly cavalierly tells her that she's just going to have to deal with the fallout. Carly says she may not have a choice when it comes to a custody battle. Alexis apologizes repeatedly. Carly says that she's only sorry that her plan didn't work out, and that by not telling Sonny right away, she lit a very long fuse and there is no way to stomp it out. Alexis tells Kristina that her father is a good person but when he was a little boy, bad things happened to him. She promises to protect her and she can do one last thing for her. Just then Jax shows up. Alexis clasps their hands and Jax says that this is where he comes in. Alexis tells Jax that Sonny is Kristina's father. She then asks him to make arrangements to help get Kristina out of the country once Kristina is better. Jax won't help Alexis and Kristina escape. He had no problem aiding & abetting Jerry, Brenda and Skye but he won't help his ex-wife. He tells her she's the best lawyer he knows and she needs to find a legal reason to keep Sonny away from Kristina. Alexis watches Kristina sleep. Ric shows up with a restraining order against Sonny. She says she doesn't want to provoke him and that they have to think of something else. She says she has to keep it together and she's willing to let Ric help. Ric says he has an idea. Without looking into her eyes at the time, he asks her to marry him.

November 2, 2004
Ric says that their marriage would largely be a legal maneuver. Ric says that he's not just a nice and sympathetic guy -- he does like her as a person. Ric says Alexis needs him. She agrees she does, but that they wouldn't be contemplating this if she weren't facing a custody battle with his brother. She says she'll marry him on one condition. Alexis tells Ric she wants it to be a marriage of convenience because there's less chance of misunderstandings and unmet expectations. Ric says that he won't agree to keep his distance and maintain some sort of polite public facade. Ric says that they talk around how they feel by using verbal sparring. Ric says that he learned early on that no one was going to love him because they wanted to, but because he was successful, thereby earning their love. She says she'll marry him. Alexis tells Kristina of her impending nuptials. She hopes that Sonny understands that it's in Kristina's best interest for him to stay away because he has no place in her life. Sonny shows up to see his daughter. She opens her eyes. He smiles. He speaks. "Hi Kristina. Remember me. I'm Sonny. Hey. I've become a very important part of your life. I'm your Daddy now. Remember at the hospital when I held you up to see the newborn babies? And then we talked. I knew right then what a special little girl you are. I'm sorry I didn't know the truth before. A lot of grown-ups have made mistakes. But that's all over now. I'm here. I'm here for you and I'm gonna find a way to make you better. And when you're all well we're gonna get to know each other a little better. I will never leave you I promise". Alexis shows up ."And from now on for the rest of your life you're gonna be my little girl." Alexis raises her gaze heavenward, scared, freaked out and utterly devastated that the truth has come out.
