19, 2004
Alexis shows up at the PCPD and tells Nik that his bail's
been reinstated. Zander, in a cell, looks at her. She asks
if he wants her to get him out. He says that at the end
of the day she'll always choose Nik. She suggests to him
that even if Nik went to jail Em's not gonna pick him anyways
but Zander can't see that. He sadly tells her he doesn't
want her help. Alexis finds Ric in the interrogation room.
She tells him that it seems a little too easy that he's
reinstating Nik's bail, and that she's got a lot to say
to him. Alexis calmly lays out for Ric how things are gonna
go: he's guilty; he'll lose his job -- not to mention his
wife -- if this comes out. So, he'll make it appear that
he's prosecuting Nikolas up until the last moment. She'll
push for a speedy trial; at the last second he'll throw
the case. He can then use Zander's police record against
him to stop him from staking claim to the baby. Ric says
he thought Zander was her friend. She tells him that he
is, but Nik's family. Ric and Elizabeth head off in one
direction; Alexis and Nikolas in the other and
Zander, stuck in his cell, just looks confused.
January
22, 2004
Alexis shows up at Wyndemere and asks for a moment alone
with Nik. She tells him that he and Kristina are the only
family she has left and she won't allow anything to happen
to them. She expresses her worry about throwing in with
Ric against Zander. Alexis finds Jax at the hospital with
Nik & Em in tow. He tells her he's fine and that Ben's
confessed to Cody's murder -- to two
witnesses. Alexis says "I have to have a conversation..."
but finishes that thought with, "with the police".
Zander signs away his parental rights when Ric tells him
if he doesn't, he'll frame him for murder. Alexis says she's
going to the PCPD to talk to Mac. She advises Jax to duck
next time.
February
3, 2004
Alexis finds Cameron. She tells him she's sorry about Zander.
He tells her that he blames himself for setting a chain
of events in motion which have led to this happening to
his son. She says it's likely he's left town. Alexis meets
Carly in the lobby at the PC Hotel. The lights flicker.
They both look around. Carly says that Sonny is trying to
take her kids. Alexis doesn't care. Carly asks if she'd
want Sonny around her daughter. She tells her no, but she
wouldn't want Carly around her, either. Alexis leaves after
saying she will not act as Carly's lawyer.
February
4, 2004
Cameron tells Alexis that he'd like for her to take his
son's case. She tells him it's a conflict of interest. He
tells her that he's holed up in the basement of this hotel
with a gun and that he's desperate: she's the last hope.
Alexis tells Cameron that Zander's his son -- he should
be the one helping him. Cameron says he doesn't think Zander
will listen to anyone but her. Alexis and Cameron show up
to see Zander. He thinks they've turned on him. He takes
Maxie hostage and tells them that if they don't leave them
alone he'll shoot her. Alexis tells him nothing's been decided
yet.
February
5, 2004
Cameron tells Zander he doesn't want to lose another son.
He and Alexis promise to go down to the PCPD with him. Zander
frees Maxie. Alexis says she'll go down to the PCPD to start
the paperwork. Maxie says she'll stay with Zander. Alexis
& Cameron don't think it's a good idea but they tell
them that it was a set-up and Maxie agreed to play along.
The lights flicker in the Versailles room. Edward tells
them the auction will go on. Alexis shows up and tells Nik
she had a problem with a client and can't stay. Cameron
shows up to find Alexis at the auction. She wants to wait
but he wants her to talk to Ric right now. Ric is talking
to a judge. Alexis interrupts and tells Ric they know where
Zander is and they want a deal. He's not too interested.
Ric agrees
to recuse himself from the case and to take off to draw
up the paperwork to bring Zander in safely. Cameron and
Alexis still continue to worry, though.
February
6, 2004
Alexis finds Nikolas and asks him what happened. Cameron
finds Alexis talking to Nikolas and Emily and asks her to
help his son. Alexis reassures Cameron that Ric's going
to recuse himself from the case and that will make it easier
to get a fair trial for Zander. Cameron worries that Zander's
volatility will work to a disadvantage. Ric asks Alexis
how long the black-out lasted. He then thanks her, and reaches
his hand towards her momentarily and leaves. Alexis is in
the
elevator when Carly steps in. Neither is pleased the see
the other. Suddenly the lights flicker and the elevator
stops. "What the hell was that?," Alexis asks.
Alexis tries to use the emergency phone but it's broken.
Carly then tries to do the same thing. The alarm goes off
and they realize they're trapped together in an elevator
while the building burns down around them.
February
9, 2004
Trapped in the elevator Alexis is calm while Carly freaks
out. Carly opens the door with a stiletto but finds a brick
wall instead of an elevator shaft. Alexis doesn't understand
why Carly is climbing the walls. Carly pops the roof off
the elevator and sees that the cable is about to snap. She
tells Alexis this. Looking increasingly scared Alexis says
she's a logical person. She opens
her purse, takes out her glasses, and prepares to look for
a logical pattern as to how the elevator is wired so they
can hotwire it. She tells Carly she's surprised she doesn't
know how to hotwire it. All of a sudden the lights flicker
and the car begins to shoot downwards. Carly and Alexis
realize the emergency break on the car is holding. However
it still creaks. Alexis says if she dies Kristina has no
one. Carly says she's got her father. Both women recount
stories of their children, and Carly tries to reassure her
that if they don't survive the Qs will be devoted to Kristina;
Ned's the best of the bunch. Alexis says "Kristina's
not a Quartermaine". Alexis tells Carly she never
should've let Ned put his name on the birth certificate.
She then says that Sonny is a good father. Carly slowly
starts to get it. "Yes he is a good father to Michael
and Morgan," but Alexis confirms he's Kristina's daddy
too.
February
10, 2004
Alexis explains to Carly why she lied about her daughter.
Carly accuses her of not wanting to share Kristina with
anyone. Alexis asks her how she can sit in judgment of her
when Sonny is doing the same thing to her. Carly tells Alexis
to stop yapping. She in turn says that she doesn't consider
confronting her mortality to be yapping. Carly jumps up
and looks through the top. She
tells Alexis that if they can pry the elevator doors open
they will be in front of floor, not a brick wall. She then
tells her to get her lazy butt up off the floor and help
her. Carly has jumped from the elevator to the floor below
and encourages Alexis to do the same. Alexis is afraid and
Carly points out that she's always thought she was better
at everything and now's her chance to prove it. Alexis says
she never thought she was better -- just more logical, and
smarter. But not a better athlete. Alexis jumps to safety
and then pleads with Carly not to tell Sonny her secret.
Alexis wants Carly to promise not to tell Sonny the truth.
Carly says she has no reason to keep her secret and that
if Alexis' luck holds, Carly will die in the fire and she
won't have to worry about this. An explosion rips through
their corner of the hotel. Carly and Alexis become separated
in the blast. Carly lies motionless and Alexis reassures
her that she's going to get help. Alexis leaves the building
and tells the firemen to go find Carly.
February
11, 2004
Alexis is downstairs asking about Nikolas. She sees Cameron
being brought out on a stretcher and runs to him. Ric and
Lucky look on.
February
12, 2004
Alexis, crying, asks why this happened to Cameron. Ned shows
up and she flies into his arms, telling him all Cameron
wanted to do was save his son's life. Alexis, distraught,
heads off with Ned to the background. Alexis and Ned are
by the dumpster in the background. Ned tells Alexis his
entire family is in there. She reassures him that they will
be OK. He says he should've been
in there; she says she was there earlier and barely made
it out through the stairs but everything is going to be
OK.
February
18, 2004
Alexis shows up at Wyndemere, eavesdrops, and tells Coleman
that if he kills Edward he will have to kill her first.
Alexis tells Coleman if he tries to kill Edward he'll wind
up in jail. Coleman says "I'm a lover, not a fighter,"
and heads off, with a smile. Helena tells Alexis that she's
never been a true Cassadine. Alexis, not seeming to believe
Nik's dead, tells her that she (Alexis) is running the family,
not her (Helena) anymore. Alexis and Luke head to the hospital
chapel for Cameron's memorial. They are the only attendees.
She says she knows now that the reason he insisted on helping
her with her daughter was because he didn't want her to
lose Kristina like he lost Zander. Luke thinks she's delusional-Cameron
was helping her because the man was in love with her. Luke
eulogizes Cameron. Afterwards, an emotional Alexis kisses
him briefly and leaves, walking right past Skye without
uttering a word.
February
19, 2004
Alexis shows up at Carly's. Alexis asks Carly if she can
speak with her a moment. Lorenzo threatens Alexis; she doesn't
flinch. He leaves. She asks Carly if she's told Sonny. Carly
says that Alexis should say please; be nice to her, and
for now she won't tell Sonny. Alexis departs. Carly looks
confident. Helena tells Alexis she was never a real Cassadine.
Alexis, having heard it
before, tells Helena that Emily will not be leaving -- but
Helena may go. Emily asks Alexis how she can talk about
Nikolas in the past tense when they haven't even found a
body yet. Alexis is cagey; she invites Em to stick around
as long as she likes. Alexis tells Emily that Nikolas left
the estate to be split up halves between Lulu and Kristina
and also established a fund to keep Laura's medical bills
paid forever. Emily tells Alexis she couldn't help wishing
it was Nikolas, not Jason, that survived the fire. Emily
and Alexis hug. Alexis tells Emily that she was the only
person who ever loved Nikolas selflessly. Emily waxes on
about meeting him as a teenager and knowing he was the one.
She cries; Alexis wipes away her tears. Alexis and Emily
discuss the bacchanalia. Alexis says she hopes they tear
Wyndemere down. She leaves.
February
20, 2004
Alexis shows up to find Nikolas and Emily kissing. She embraces
him in much the same way she did when Stefan "returned
from the dead" in November 2000. She even says to Nik
almost verbatim what she said to Stefan: "I knew you
weren't dead. Well done". They hug. Alexis tells Nikolas
thanks for putting Kristina in his will. She then suggests
he takes a shower. Alone with Emily, Emily thanks her for
being so patient and nice to her while she was a basket
case. Alexis tells her that there's no way she's a basket
case -- a basket case is someone who, in their fear and
paranoia, blurts things they have no right speaking aloud.
Alexis comes over to Carly's at Carly's request. Carly says
her lawyer quit and she needs a new one. "You need
to get me sole
permanent custody of Michael and Morgan or else I will tell
Sonny he's Kristina's father".
February
23, 2004
Carly tells Alexis she has to be her lawyer or else she'll
tell Sonny about Kristina. Alexis tells her she's charging
her a fortune, and that she will have to listen to and do
every single thing she says or this just won't work. Alexis
shows up at Sonny's penthouse. They tell her it's a bad
time. She says she's there in regards to Sonny's children.
He asks since when has she had anything to do with his children.
She tells him that Carly has retained her as her attorney
to get her children back. Sonny shakes his head. Alone in
the penthouse Alexis tells Sonny that Carly's willing to
compromise and keep the case out of court. Sonny calmly
tells her that he doesn't want to take
the chance when the kidnapping drug dealer might wind up
near his kids. Sadly, Alexis tells him that she intends
to win. He says that the mother of his children is not even
a consideration.
February
24, 2004
Alexis tells Sonny that he needs to compromise or he'll
lose his kids. Sonny tells Alexis if she tries to keep him
from his children, he'll bury her. Alexis tells Sonny she
knows what it's like to grow up without a mother; his sons
shouldn't face that. He says he knows what it's like to
see a man who isn't one's father come into the life of a
child and hurt its mother and he won't let that happen either.
Justus shows up and she tells him about the joint custody
idea. Sonny asks why she's helping Carly if she hates her.
Alexis says she's sick and tired of watching Sonny get everything
he wants through bribery and violence and there is no way
he's getting his children that way. Alexis shows up at the
PCPD and has a confrontation with Emily and Elizabeth. She
says she has to help Carly, plus she can't represent Nik
because it's a conflict of interest. The girls loathe the
fact she chose Carly over her own nephew. Alexis shows up
to see Carly. She asks her and Lorenzo what part of "stay
away from each other," that they didn't get. He tells
her that he's got dual citizenship; he has an MA in History
and that he's never been convicted. Alexis says it won't
matter to the family court. He says he'll go, for now. Alexis
tells Carly if she wants to win they have to play dirty.
She asks about Sonny's state of mind. Carly admits he had
a breakdown last year and that he had one other that she
knows about. But Alexis isn't allowed to use it in
court. Alexis tells Carly if she wants to win they have
no choice. Carly still wants to protect Sonny.
February
25, 2004
Alexis asks Courtney to testify for Carly. Courtney asks
why she is representing her. Alexis says she saved her life
in the fire and this is her repayment of said debt. Jason
shows up and Alexis tells them both they could be forced
to testify. Alexis tells Carly that she talked to Courtney
and
asks if she will testify. Carly says she will if she has
to. Alexis then asks about Jason. Alexis tells Carly that
the judge will listen to the two adults closest to the situation
in cases of "he said she said" and those people
happen to be Jason & Courtney. Alexis tells her she
needs Jason. Alexis shows up late to see Nikolas. She apologizes.
H e tells her that the only thing more important to her
than him is Kristina and she says this has everything to
do with Kristina.
February
26, 2004
Alexis tells Nik she took Carly's case because she would
feel the same way Carly does if Sonny tried to take her
daughter. Nik asks why Sonny would try to take Kristina
and Alexis generalizes and Nik seems to buy it. Alexis tells
Carly that she's tied her hands by not allowing her to use
the mental illness against Sonny, and that if she loses,
Carly will tell Sonny about Kristina. She says she has to
give her some leeway; Justus is a great attorney and it
will be hard to win Alexis' phone rings -- it's the judge.
Alexis tells him they will co-operate fully.
March
2, 2004
At the courthouse Alexis can't find lamby-pie but Ned shows
up with the stuffed animal. Alexis hands him Kristina and
then tells him that she told Carly the truth and that's
why she's representing her in the custody case. Alexis tells
Kristina that she's being very patient. Kristina, coloring,
perks up when Alexis mentions having chocolate cake -- her
favorite -- later. Alexis talks to Walker about needing
a few things done. When she turns back, Kristina is gone.
Alexis turns the corner and finds her -- with her father!
S cared doesn't even begin to describe the look on Alexis'
face as Sonny looks at her daughter. He tells her she has
beautiful eyes. Alexis is frozen in shock and fear. He tells
her that this bonding thing with Carly lately -- she's not
thinking
about a father's rights. He says a man will go to war for
his family and he will destroy anything in his way. He says
that he would no more share his children with a mother who
doesn't deserve them than she would share Kristina with
a father who didn't deserve her.
March
3, 2004
Alexis shows up and tells Carly it's a good idea. Carly
tears into Jax. He explains about what Sonny did to Brenda;
Carly insists Brenda was an attention junkie who liked to
string men along. Jax doesn't need this; he leaves. Alexis
asks Carly why she just did that. Carly says Sonny's had
three warehouses explode -- how can it be that hard to prove
him dangerous? Alexis tells her that the point is to prove
Carly fit which may be difficult. She then asks if this
is just a stunt to get her marriage back on track. Alexis
asks what went wrong between Sonny and Carly this time --
if
this is fun to them or a game or what. Carly threatens,
threatens, threatens. Alexis tells her she just doesn't
care anymore and dares her to tell Sonny the truth. She
says if Carly does that, she'll never get him back, and
that's why she'll never tell -- and that's why she's resigning.
Carly heads off to tell Sonny the truth and Alexis says
"you'd actually do that, wouldn't you?" She then
tells her that she's tying her hands. Carly tells her to
use Sam. Alexis says it's not enough. Jason shows up. Alexis
slings her coat over her arm and tells Jason that Carly
just wants Sonny back and that this whole thing would just
be a lot easier if she admitted that. When Alexis leaves
Carly says how much she hates her. Jason asks if she was
right. At the courthouse Jax tells Alexis that she looked
more annoyed than he did when Carly pulled that crap. Jax
says that Alexis obviously still hates Carly and suggests
that Carly is blackmailing her into representing her in
this custody case. Alexis doesn't tell Jax what Carly is
blackmailing her with, but she doesn't deny it either.
Jax says that if Sonny tries hard enough he'll uncover whatever
Carly is using to blackmail her with.
March
4, 2004
Alexis welcomes Justus to the sewer. She tells him Sonny
has no business raising children and with any luck the judge
will be begging Carly to take the kids. Justus tells Sonny
that with Alexis, it seems personal. Sonny says she seems
to hate him, "for whatever reason". Just then,
Sonny runs into Alexis. He tells her it's far easier to
have Carly mad at her than him. She tells Justus to get
his client to stop threatening her before she presses charges.
She leaves. Ric testifies in court. He says that joint custody
is the best solution. When he talks about Sonny's virtues
Carly, out of order, begins shouting. The judge orders her
to sit down. Carly is mad at Alexis. She asks how much damage
Ric did. Alexis tells her she did more damage with her outburst.
Lorenzo shows up. Carly wants him to leave. He says he was
subpoenaed. Courtney is scheduled to testify but she doesn't
show up. Faith does, though.
March
5, 2004
When Sonny learns Courtney's missing he has a mini-meltdown
in court. Alexis tells Carly that this tantrum was far worse
than the one she threw earlier -- this is good. Alexis asks
Carly if she's sure she wants Courtney testify. Confident
Carly reassures her that Courtney couldn't possibly say
anything damaging about her on the stand. Alexis calls her.
Courtney heads up there,
swearing to tell the truth. Alexis' attempts to portray
Sonny's lifestyle as dangerous are all shot down by Justus
and the judge. In the end, she simply asks Courtney who
should have custody. Courtney says they should share. Carly
says "no" out loud. Alexis is disappointed when
Courtney says all the wrong things. Sonny tells Justus that
now's his chance to ask Courtney what
happened when Alcazar kidnapped her but instead Justus has
no further questions for her.
March
8, 2004
Jason tells the court what a great mom Carly is. Alexis
asks him if the children have ever been in danger simply
because Sonny is their father. Jason hedges. Justus examines
Jason on the stand. He talks about how he chose for Sonny
to be Michael's father, and even goes so far as to say if
he got to choose his own father, he would choose Sonny.
When Justus asks who should
raise the children, Jason says both parents. Both Carly
and Sonny cringe. Jason refuses to name one or the other.
The judge won't let Alexis redirect. Outside the court,
Carly gives Jason a dressing down for not coming down for
her side. He tells her if she tells the court about Sonny's
instability, the judge will put the kids in foster care.
She's still mad, and leaves. Sonny comes out
and Jason prepares for the lecture from him. Carly grabs
Alexis' arm and Alexis shakes her off. Carly says, "You
put me on the stand and I will talk about Sonny's breakdowns".
Alexis asks Carly why she changed her mind about testifying.
She says she wants to keep her kids. In court, Sonny tells
Justus to let Carly say whatever she wants, then to discredit
her. Alexis puts Carly on the stand where she asks, "Isn't
it true that your husband has a history of severe nervous
breakdowns?"
March
9, 2004
Alexis asks if Sonny has a history of severe nervous breakdowns.
Carly looks at Sonny. Alexis says she realizes this is very
difficult testimony for her, and then repeats the question.
Carly wipes away a tear as she says her husband has never
suffered a nervous breakdown. Sonny and Alexis are shocked.
On the stand, Carly lies every time Alexis answers a question.
Alexis, increasingly frustrated, pulls every trick out of
her hat to get Carly to say what needs to be said in order
to win the case, but Carly refuses to do the very thing
she said she'd do when she asked Alexis to put her on the
stand. Alexis walks over and looks at Sonny for several
seconds before trying again. Eventually, the judge says
that she's badgering her own witness, and Alexis gives up.
On the stand, Justus asks Carly if she's afraid of Sonny.
She says no. Lorenzo looks
incredibly disappointed in Carly. She is excused. Court
is adjourned. Alexis puts her stuff away in a hurry and
tells Carly, "You may be so co-FREAKIN' dependent that
you don't care about the welfare of your child but I care
about the welfare of mine". Carly tells her not to
even THINK about quitting. Alexis tells Carly she just made
her look like an idiot, not to mention lost the case. Carly
says she beat the system for a murder rap; getting her kids
back shouldn't be any trouble at all. Alexis says it is
and Carly says she'd rather Sonny take Kristina than take
her kids. Alexis doesn't think she'll tell the truth. Carly
strides out of the courtroom and asks Sonny if he has a
sec, as Jason looks on. Sonny and Carly are talking as Alexis
tries to run interference. Alexis
asks Carly to step away from him; Sonny asks if he can't
talk to his own wife now. Alexis gives a half-smile and
walks away. Sonny and Carly's progress halts when Lorenzo
shows up.
March
10, 2004
Sam and Sonny are about to kiss on the pier when Alexis
shows up and serves Sam: she has to testify. Sonny asks
Alexis why she's coming after him and asks if it's because
they had a connection once. He then tells her that if she
keeps this up he will have to do to her what he'd do to
anyone else -- break her. She leaves. Alexis asks Sam if
Mr. Corinthos has ever paid her for
sex. She says no. Alexis produces evidence of Sam having
been arrested in Texas for prostitution. As well, she was
charged in stealing nineteen cars and the charges were dropped
in exchange for her testimony against the leader of the
car theft ring. Sam asks what this has to do with Sonny's
kids. Alexis asks if she's ever met the children or had
any occasion to spend any time with them. Carly looks stricken.
Justus finishes questioning Sonny and Alexis stands up.
"Isn't it true you detonated a bomb in your apartment?"
On the stand Alexis asks about Lily, and Brenda. She then
looks a combination of scared, frenetic, and ready to push
forward and protect her daughter no matter what she has
to do. "Are you claustrophobic?," she asks quickly,
not able to look him in the eyes. He says he doesn't like
enclosed spaces. She asks why, and suggests it might be
because his step-father used to lock him in a closet and
beat him. Sonny looks increasingly surprised that she's
bringing this up; she doesn't want to bring it up and Carly's
yelling for her to quit bringing it up.
March
11, 2004
Alexis continues to ask Sonny pointed questions until Carly
steps in and suggests Alexis has her own agenda. Carly says
she has something to say- this isn't fair. On the stand,
Carly says that Alexis had an affair with her husband, or
rather, a one-night stand. She says Alexis never got over
it and that's why she's so bitter. The judge asks if Alexis
is still in love with Sonny. She says no. Sonny looks surprised.
Alexis asks to be removed from the case. The judge says
no. The judge asks if she has any more questions for Carly.
She says no. He says he'll render his decision shortly.
Lorenzo and Faith look on. Justus makes a pretty weak closing
argument begging the court not to allow Sonny's kids to
grow up as fatherless boys. Alexis, on the other hand, defines
the term fatherless -- which is what would happen if Sonny
died. She brings into play the fact that they were gunned
down together outside the PCPD; she also brings in Brenda,
and Lily. Sonny can't look at her; he looks very uncomfortable.
She tells the judge that if the kids are with him, he'll
put them at risk. Afterwards Alexis tells Carly she's done
her part and after this
trial Carly can just drop dead. Carly keeps threatening
but Alexis doesn't even seem to care anymore. Alexis asks
Carly why she's so intent on ruining her life. "Because
if Sonny's focusing his anger on you, he won't come after
me," she says. Alexis is worried. Lorenzo finds Alexis.
Once alone, she asks what he's doing there. He asks if Sonny's
breakdowns were real. She says she won't discuss it with
him. He says he'll take her silence as a yes. S he doesn't
deny it. Alexis tells Lorenzo she assumes he's footing the
bill for this debacle and that he ought to prepare himself
-- it costs a lot to make her look like a fool. He asks
why she took the case. She says Sonny is dangerous to any
child. Lorenzo looks thoughtful.
March
12, 2004
Alexis becomes worried when she learns that Sonny and Carly
have disappeared together. Equally worried, Lorenzo supports
Alexis when she asks Jason where the Corinthos' went. Jason
won't say. They return as the judge announces he wishes
to speak to them both alone. The judge then announces he's
ready to render his verdict when a sudden explosion rocks
the courtroom.
March
15, 2004
In the courtroom Alexis asks the judge if there's any chance
he's going to change his mind about joint custody, since
the children would have been obliterated if they'd been
with Sonny. Justus says a decision has already been made.
Sonny asks them to quite arguing. In the courtroom, Alexis
steps back and is totally in the background as Sonny tells
the judge he wants to put his
boys' safety first and grant Carly full custody. Still inside,
Alexis tells Carly she assumes this concludes their business
and that in about five minutes this bizarre mating ritual
of the world's most narcissistic couple shall begin anew.
Carly admonishes her- Alexis ought to be nice. Alexis says
she can go to hell.
March
25, 2004
Alexis shows up at site where Nik crashed. She asks Emily
and Lucky what's going on. Emily explains it could've been
an accident -- or it could've been Zander. Alexis finds
herself reassuring Emily that she did everything she could
to help Zander, and that she's only made Nikolas' life better.
Emily is still pretty needy though. Alexis does not react
well to Ric showing up at the crash site. She tells him
that he did nothing but pit Zander and Nikolas against one
another. Ric says this isn't his fault. Alexis doesn't agree.
When Ric says it doesn't look good, Emily slaps him.
March
26, 2004
Emily announces to Ric that it's time to send a team to
the river with rescue boats. Alexis looks on as Ric begins
to be difficult. Emily finds the rings in the car. She shows
them off to Alexis who feebly compliments her. Duncan and
Alexis meet and don't agree about what should be happening.
April
9, 2004
Alexis shows up and asks Jax why he wanted to see her. He
tells her that he wants her to represent Skye. Neither woman
thinks it's a particularly good idea. Jax leaves them alone
to discuss Skye's needs. Jax heads over to Sam & Sonny's
table and decides to make a bet. On the Haunted Star Alexis
orders a water. Sonny sidles up and asks why she's not at
home with her daughter. She changes her order to a vodka
martini. She doesn't make eye contact with him. He says
she tried to break him on the stand and it didn't work.
Ric comes over and asks if everything all right. Sonny lumps
them into the same category, then leaves. On the Haunted
Star, Ric asks why Alexis would take a chance that Sonny
would go after her by trying to take his children away
on Carly's behalf. Alexis tells him she doesn't have to
justify her actions to him. Ric mentions that Alexis slept
with Sonny. Alexis says that he hates Sonny; she isn't fond
of him at the moment, either, but suggests he go find another
playmate. After she leaves, he calls someone and asks them
to do a report on Alexis' connection to Sonny.
April
15, 2004
Emily tells Alexis she wants to have the memorial service
in the church where she and Nikolas exchanged their vows.
Alexis agrees that's a good idea. The Qs enter. Alexis passes
Edward without a word. In the hall she meets Ned. She tells
him how good Nik was to Kristina. Ned says he hopes this
won't be too hard on 'their little girl'. She says in light
of everything she has to ask
him if he means that literally. Ned tries to lay a guilt
trip on Alexis but it doesn't work. He tells her she's a
good mother. She avoids a fight and says that she didn't
even know she wanted to be a mother and now it's the best
part of her world. Ned says that makes all their lies worthwhile.
Alexis strides into Kelly's. Ric asks his guy about the
DNA tests. The guy says Ned's name is on the birth certificate.
Ric says that doesn't make it so. The dude takes off. Ric
approaches Alexis who is reading the paper. He says he's
got an offer for her. She wishes he'd step off a pier, however
when he says it's about Sonny, her interest is piqued. Ric
tells Alexis that if she gives him information she discerned
from Sonny in a non attorney/client manner that he can use,
he'll
protect her. She refrains from actually laughing in his
face but says she doesn't want anything to do with him or
his brother's feud.
