Ned and Alexis run into each other on the street. He tells
her Alice is taking Kristina to the park tomorrow and asks
if she wants to join them. She says she's going to be out
of town. A very young girl (the one with the diary from
last week) 'bumps into' them on the street. The young girl
pulls out a CD and asks "Eddie" to sign it. She
then recognizes Alexis and asks if she's Eddie's Angel.
Alexis deflects. The girl leaves and Ned asks if Alexis
had something to do with that. Alexis says no. Alexis shows
up at the PCPD and tells Stefan that she is leaving town.
He says that's not a good idea because if she leaves, she'll
never have a chance at getting her daughter back. Alexis
tells Stefan she will ensure he isn't found guilty. He threatens
her some more.
September
15, 2003
Alexis tells Stefan she can prove Darius killed Summer under
his orders. Stefan squirms. Alexis produces a letter she
got, sealed, from Darius's sister. It was written to himself
in the event of his untimely death. She reads it to Stefan
and he still denies all. She asks him if he has any remorse
at all. Stefan tells Alexis if she doesn't find a way to
clear him the paper trail framing Ned will lead back to
her and she will never see Kristina again. Alexis seems
surprised that he would frame her (has she forgotten momentarily
he's a Cassadine?) Ned shows up with Skye and the look that
passes between he and Alexis could freeze the world. Alexis
tells Stefan she knows her way around a paper trail and
she will get Ned and herself out of this. Alexis tells Ned
to keep calm and stay quiet. He and Skye ask what she knows
about this. Ned tells Alexis if he finds out she had anything
to do with this she will never cross him again. He leaves.
Skye tells Alexis she knows she's guilty and she'll prove
it. Alexis implores her to stay out of it. She leaves. Cindy
approaches Alexis and asks, poutingly, "How am I doing
Ms. Davis," as Alexis wonders what Stefan has gotten
her into.
September
16, 2003
Nik and Lydia meet up with Alexis in Kelly's. Nik guesses
everything but Alexis doesn't confirm his suspicions. Nikolas
tells Alexis if she gives in to Stefan's blackmail she'll
have to answer to him and face herself in the mirror. A
storm brews outside. Zander meets Alexis at Kelly's. She
tells him she wants him to hook up with Cindy and tie her
to Stefan without making her a sacrificial lamb. She tells
him that Emily was Stefan's original target; not Summer.
She also tells him Stefan set up both her and Ned.
September
18, 2003
Stefan tells Alexis that she did so well with the judge
he almost believes she believes in his innocence. Judge
Farmer tells Skye, Ned and Alexis this won't take long.
Alexis asks Skye to be removed but Judge Farmer doesn't
care. She's removing Kristina from Ned's custody and placing
her in foster care. Alexis asks the judge if perhaps she
could have temporary custody of her daughter. The judge
says no. Skye goes a little nutty hurling accusations all
around. The judge tells them that she has to discuss the
child's case with her case worker and leaves. Ned tells
Skye to shut up and Alexis says that they were trying to
save Kristina and Skye just blew it. Alexis tells Stefan
that Kristina's going to foster care and that her work for
him is done. She has the letter from Darius stating Stefan's
intentions and if Stefan wants to fry her with the paper
trail? Bring it. She's washing her hands of him. Skye, Ned
and Alexis are shocked when Judge Farmer grants custody
of Kristina to Cameron. None look pleased as Cameron picks
up the baby.
September
24, 2003
On the docks, Zander tells Alexis he made contact with Cindy.
She says she needs his help with another problem -- his
father. Alexis tells Zander she can't remember if she was
nice or not-so-nice to Cameron the last time they saw each
other. She asks if he can smooth things over to garner her
visitation. He agrees to try. Cameron runs into Alexis.
He asks her not to yell at him or throw stuff. She says
that's not what she wants to talk about. Alexis and Cameron
show up to see Kristina. Zander tells his father that Alexis
is welcome anytime she wants -- and he is too. Cameron can't
believe how understanding his son is being. Alexis, Cameron
and Zander discuss corrupt Judge Farmer. Scott shows up
and tells Alexis he's arresting her for what she did to
Ned. Alexis doesn't bat an eye at this news.
September
25, 2003
Scott brings a cuffed Alexis into the PCPD. Cameron asks
for a moment alone with her and asks if she wants him to
call Dara. She says yes. Ric shows up and tells her about
all the charges of slander & libel being brought against
her by Ned & Skye, including suing her for $10 million
in punitive damages. She doesn't even blink as they tell
her this. Alexis tells Ric that Ned will be lucky to get
a tenth of the damages he seeks. Ric says she should tell
her lawyer their work will be pro-bono since all of her
assets will be used to pay off the case that they'll win.
Alexis is led off for processing. Cameron pleads Alexis'
case to Ned. Skye can't believe Alexis is already playing
the victim. Cameron continues to ask Ned to back off Alexis
but he smugly informs Cameron he intends to ruin her life
to the fullest degree possible. Alexis emerges in prison
blues and, smiling, tells Ned that no matter how this turns
out, she'll always be Kristina's mother. He can't do anything
to change that and by the time Kristina is old enough to
understand this situation, she won't remember who Ned even
is. Stefan asks to see her. She goes into the room with
him and he says it's great that she'll be paying for her
crimes now. Alexis tells Stefan she never wanted Ned framed
for rape. Stefan asks when she developed these lofty principles
-- they didn't seem to be in place when she made him believe
Katherine was his sister; or when Stefan was on trial for
a murder that she and Luke tried to commit. Stefan storms
out of the room and asks to retain Ric's legal services.
Alexis states that he's guilty. Ric says that she just breached
lawyer/client confidentiality and that alone is enough to
get her disbarred. She doesn't appear to care. Stefan is
released and Ric says it's because Alexis filed motions
improperly. He tells Alexis she's always been a lousy chess
player. Ned tells Alexis he's testifying against her, and
that she needs to give serious thought to how she wants
to see Kristina grow up because he is tired of placating
her.
October
1, 2003
Alexis thanks Dara for getting her out of jail. Dara tells
her that Nikolas didn't pay the bail. Cameron answers the
door when Alexis shows up at the cottage. He gives her the
loan agreement and she tells him her finances aren't what
they used to be. He wants to gouge her for 14% interest
which she doesn't agree to. He tells her he can't find an
apartment and she suggests he move in with her. He's not
sure if that's a wise idea. Alexis tells Cameron she's not
paying triple the going rate for interest for the loan.
He says he's sure he can get a child-friendly apartment
suitable for Kristina. The two of them run up the stairs
to see the baby. Zander and Emily wonder if what they're
doing is compromising by being together. Alexis and Cameron
agree to move in together. She won't charge him rent; he's
only charging her 7% interest. He won't allow her unsupervised
visits with her daughter yet. Luke shows up. Alexis says
she's missed him. Cameron wonders where he's been. Luke
asks Natasha how they're going to make Stefan pay.
October
2, 2003
Emily, Nikolas, Zander and Alexis wind up at Kelly's. They've
all got notes that say they should be there at 6:00 -- everyone
will. Alexis gets a phone call telling her that transportation
is on the way. She informs Nik, Lydia, Em & Zander that
the caller disguised his voice badly and that she doesn't
think they're in any danger. Zander wants to take Emily
to the Qs but she insists if this is about Stefan she wants
to be involved. The gang in the warehouse begins to snark.
Emily seems ticked that Lydia's living with Lucky now and
Lydia asks if she has staked claim to every man in town
now. Alexis finds a videotape and pops it into the VCR.
Luke greets the assembled guests. Alexis begins to leave.
The tape calls out to her to stay because he needs her.
Nikolas et al realize they're stranded in the warehouse
because there's no way out. Luke shows up with Stefan in
tow, gagged and with hands tied. He says he's going to serve
up justice tonight. The assembled guests look as though
they'd rather be anywhere else.
October
3, 2003
Luke sets up the video camera. He announces he'll be broadcasting
to all of Port Charles. Alexis begs him to stop; as does
Emily, then Zander. Lydia wants to continue and Nik gives
his permission to do so as well. Dillon hovers in the background
outside, looking in. Luke begins to broadcast. Luke allows
Stefan to make an opening statement. As he is doing so,
Luke goes outside and hauls Dillon in by the collar. He
then announces that they've just found their court cameraman.
Dillon pans the crowd. Mac asks Georgie why it is that when
there's trouble, Dillon's always sure to follow. She says
she doesn't know. Luke calls his first witness -- Nikolas.
Nikolas takes his turn on the stand. He admits he thinks
Stefan's guilty and that he's in love with Emily. He confesses
he still is. Luke then calls Emily to the stand. Stefan
says that this whole thing is all Emily's fault and if she
would've just gone away none of this would've happened.
Alexis wipes away tears in the background as Stefan admits
to everything. He tells Nikolas that his whole life has
been about sacrificing for him, on his behalf. He begs Nikolas
to understand.
October
6, 2003
Luke tells Stefan that although protection of a loved one
is a justifiable reason for murder, it wasn't in this case.
Alexis stands up and asks for this to be over. Luke says
it's not. He then poises to mete out Stefan's punishment.
Stefan tells Luke that his confession in this kangaroo court
won't hold up in real life. Luke gags him and announces
that he's going to make sure justice is served. Lucky instructs
Dillon to cut the feed on the video camera. Luke leads Stefan
out. Alexis expresses her concern that if Luke kills Stefan
his own life will be over. Lucky reassures all that his
father's smarter than that. Nikolas and Stefan exchange
harsh words. Nikolas leaves. Capelli enters through a tunnel.
Scott won't drop the charges but agrees to Alexis' request
that Luke is released. Alone, Alexis tells Luke she thought
he might try to kill Stefan when he dragged him out of there.
October
8, 2003
Alexis tells Zander she needs to tie Cindy to Stefan. He
says he'll keep trying. He opens the door to leave and finds
his father there with Kristina. Alexis is unimpressed with
the animal-sound-making toy that Cameron brought Kristina.
Her baby happily in her arms, Alexis plays with her. Zander
tells Cameron that this is obviously what he wanted from
the beginning. Cameron hedges. Zander turns to leave. Alexis
lifts Kristina up and a tiny bit of her tummy between her
peach shirt & jeans is exposed. Zander says goodbye
and leaves. Cameron tells Alexis he wants the first installment
of her bail, with interest. She narrows one eye and looks
at him. Cameron is working on his computer; Alexis is writing
on a legal pad. Kristina is ostensibly in her playpen with
the toy that makes the barnyard animal noises. Every time
it makes a sound she turns and looks. Cameron asks if something
is wrong and says that she likes the cow. Alexis tries to
concentrate but she still keeps turning around when she
hears a noise. Cameron asks if everything is all right and
she just gives this *precious* movement as if to say "shoo!
get away! stop asking me!". Alexis tells Cameron that
"Baby Barnyard" is on the list of 10 Worst Toys
For Babies. Cameron says he didn't know that and that he
wants to take Kristina for a walk; she's a night owl. Alexis
says it's too late. She says she has to prepare her defense.
She leaves the room. Cameron looks at her notes. He raises
a couple of issues with him as to what may or may not be
a good defense in court. She doesn't ask for nor want his
help. Kristina makes a barnyard animal make a noise and
both adults take off running.
October
15, 2003
Alexis and Cameron talk about the fact that he brought Kristina
to the hospital's day care when he could have left her home
with her mother. Nikolas and Emily tell Alexis that Stefan
is dead. She calmly asks if Luke did it. Alexis tells Nik
that no one expects him to be fine about this. Alexis tells
Cameron the brother she knew and loved died a long time
ago. He tells her that she's burying her grief and this
is her last chance to say goodbye to him. Alexis walks towards
Cameron and they place their arms around one another.
October
16, 2003
Alexis tells Nik that she came for the funeral because Stefan
snuck dessert upstairs to her and put her through school.
Helena shows up and says she's glad Stefan's dead and she
wants to thank who did it. At the funeral, Helena interacts
with everyone just long enough to insult them and let it
be known
she's kept tabs on everybody. She has a particularly nasty
exchange with Alexis, and asks if Cameron's the boyfriend.
Cameron says "God no she's a former patient".
The ceremony begins. At the funeral, Helena speaks when
no one else wants to. She insults Stefan half a dozen times
before Nikolas asks her to sit down. Nikolas says that his
uncle devoted his life to dreams that could never be realized
and that desperate choices led to his death; choices he
made while still
trying to afford those dreams for Nikolas. Alexis tells
Skye that she knows why she came and it had nothing to do
with Emily. She came to see if Alexis lost it -- and she
didn't. Helena continues to insult people. She tells Alexis
that her only comforting thought is knowing treachery runs
in the family: one day her daughter will betray her. Cameron
gives her his card but she tears it up. Alexis puts her
arm around Cameron and suggests they leave.
November
5, 2003
Alexis comes home to find Skye with Kristina and Cameron;
she promptly kicks Skye out. She asks Cameron why he let
her visit. Cameron says it's because custody of Kristina
is most likely to be granted to the Qs and it would be better
if she spent more time with Skye. Cameron suggests that
Alexis should allow Dara to defend her instead of doing
it herself. She is not impressed by this idea. On the docks
Alexis walks down the steps and hears a noise. The camera
pans to a teenager hidden behind cover, holding a gun. Alexis
inadvertently approaches the girl, still shrouded in cover.
She looks as though she's trying to get the courage to shoot
the gun, but doesn't. Dara shows up and Alexis takes off
with her. In court, Scott questions Cindy. He finishes and
Dara starts. Alexis interrupts and the judge lets her cross-examine.
Alexis tells the girl she is giving her the opportunity
to come clean; the girl insists Alexis is the one who paid
her. The whole time, the mysterious teenager from the docks
watches Alexis. In court, Ned says that the person who will
be hurt most if Alexis goes to jail is Kristina. He says
that he's dropping all charges against Alexis because her
daughter needs her and not through supervised visits. Upon
hearing this news the teenage girl pulls out the gun and
readies it again.
November
6, 2003
In the courtroom Scott wants to treat Ned as a hostile witness
but the judge drops all charges. Skye rushes up and screams
that Alexis won't get away with this, causing the girl with
the gun to back off. Dara tells Alexis she's free to go.
The teenager keeps seeing and losing her chance with the
gun. Ned shows up and Alexis thanks him for what he did
and says she can't help but think that he wants something
from her in return. Ned tells Alexis she's become cold-hearted,
selfish and mean. But he hopes by having relinquished all
parental rights to Kristina that she will return to the
nicer person she used to be. He says he is petitioning Judge
Farmer to grant her full custody but that doesn't mean he
is abandoning Kristina. Ned leaves and Alexis clutches the
paper to her chest, a look of complete and utter happiness
not seen since last Christmas when
she held Kristina for the first time. Cameron shows up at
the courthouse with the baby. He tells Alexis that the judge
found out about their living arrangements and she was pretty
mad. He then says that he's there to surrender Kristina.
Alexis wants to know to whom. Alexis tells Judge Farmer
that she will do right by her daughter. Cameron says he
has no objections. The judge gives her Kristina. Alexis
picks up her sleeping daughter. Cameron says: "Congratulations.
You finally got Kristina all to yourself at last. No Ned,
no extended family. After
months of maniacal effort your wish has finally come true.
You are now Kristina's entire life and will remain so until
she grows up and you find yourself alone". He walks
away. The teenager preps the gun to shoot but when she sees
Alexis with the baby, doesn't go through with it.
November
11 2003
Alexis tries to defend Luke in court. Luke insists that
he killed Stefan on purpose even after Nikolas testifies
that he didn't. Sage's gun is trained on Alexis but Skye
stands in the way. At the PCPD Alexis asks Scott why it's
taking so long for Luke to be brought up. Skye tells Alexis
that she doesn't know if it's a good idea for Alexis --
the victim's sister -- to be representing the accused and
that the Bar Association might not think so either. Alexis
leaves but not before telling Skye that she's sure she'll
give up on this; she loses interest fast. In the courtroom
Alexis is constructing a defense for Luke. Cameron doesn't
think what she has
decided to say is the best move. He says it's time for her
to stop trying to ease her own guilt and simply construct
a defense for her. Alexis is finishing up a sentence when
Sage comes in. She asks her to hang on a second. She finishes
it and turns around and asks "what can I do for you".
Gun pointed, Sage says "you can die, bitch". Alexis
looks stunned. Alexis tells Sage that to say she's sorry
would be woefully inappropriate. She says that she killed
her father. Alexis says it was self-defense. Sage doesn't
buy it. She tells her she's going to die.
Dillon comes screaming and running into the courtroom. The
camera goes to slow-mo. The screen fades to white as the
gun goes off.
November
12, 2003
In the courtroom, we see Sage fire the gun at Alexis directly,
head-on, and then we see Alexis on the floor. Dillon pulls
Sage back and she explains the bullets were blanks because
one day they will be real. Lucky et al burst through the
door and shoot at Dillon, who's holding the gun. Alexis
accuses Sage of being, well, crazy. Alexis, bangs shockingly
brushed back, insists to the police that Dillon did nothing
wrong. She reiterates the situation and the cops say they
want her down at the PCPD to make a statement. Alexis, Sage
and Capelli leave. Scott threatens to arrest Sage. She says
he wouldn't do that if he knew who her
uncle was. Lorenzo walks in and asks about his niece. Alexis
tries valiantly to convince Scott that Lucky shouldn't be
suspended for simply doing his job. She reiterates the incident
but Scott still wants Lucky stripped of his badge. Scott
smirks as Alexis tells Lucky she'll defend him if he gets
charged.
November
14, 2003
After John's funeral, Alexis comforts Jane. Ned's arm is
around her waist as she does this. She then comforts Jax
and her and Ned vow to take Jax for a drink to toast his
father. Alone with the casket Jax weeps for his dad.
December

Alexis wheels Kristina into Kelly's. She gives Justus a
hug and he asks for her help defending Sonny & Jason.
She says, a little sadly, that she wouldn't lift a finger
to help them if she were their attorney and it's a good
thing he is. He leaves. Emily and Nikolas come in. Alexis
presents Emily with the divorce papers, and Nikolas with
a balance sheet showing the family's in serious financial
trouble Alexis tells Nikolas she's going to drop Kristina
off and they make plans to meet later. Nikolas leaves too.
Emily, and her white crocheted hat and matching white sweater
with a bow rivaling the size of the one on Courtney's behind
at her first wedding attempt, are alone at Kelly's when
Zander walks in with a chick. Alexis tells Nikolas that
they'll figure this out. He says it's good she's his aunt
because he couldn't afford to pay her for her legal services.
She says that she would never have given her life to this
family, only to him. She says that he may have to let most
of the staff go and learn to make his own bed. Alexis takes
the divorce papers from Emily. Emily tells her that Zander's
been better. Alexis looks sympathetic. She says goodbye
to Emily and Nikolas.
December
10, 2003
Alexis, looking over her glasses, with hair down, is surprised
to learn that Nik's engaged. "To Emily?" she asks.
She smiles and says she's happy for him. Nik tells Alexis
he's on his way to the Qs to break the engagement news.
She tells him to be careful because there's still some animosity
due to the Kristina custody battle. She jokingly suggests
he ask them for a loan -- they could use the money. He promises
to be careful and Alexis wishes him well. Alexis, in black
leather boots, is happy when Nikolas tells her that Emily
stood up to her family. "She's my kind of gal".
Alexis then goes on to tell him that when the freighter
sank, they lost their chance at avoiding bankruptcy.
December
11, 2003
Meanwhile back at Wyndemere Alexis tells Nik and Em she's
selling the family homestead. Em says she can't just sell
someone's home -- Alexis tells her there's no choice --
the Cassadines are broke.
December
17, 2003
Alexis interviews Sam's father who says he's more than happy
to wear several hats in his duties at Wyndemere. He meets
Nik and Em and Nik thinks there's more to the story. Nik
apologizes for being so harsh with Cody and tells Alexis
it's her call. She tells Cody that she plans to check every
one of his references because she knows just how easy they
are to forge. But he's hired temporarily at least. Alexis
sees Cody picking up a file on the desk. She tells him her
nephew's instincts are usually right and he was suspicious
of him five minutes after meeting him. She's suggesting
snooping when a relatively calm Nik & Em come into the
room with an unconscious Sam asking Alexis to call for a
medivac helicopter. Cody unenthusiastically asks if she's
OK. Sam mutters something unintelligibly about 'courage';
'sunk' and/or 'wreck'. Alexis ushers in the paramedics but
Sam's out again while her father is paying very close attention.
December
22, 2003
Alexis holds the curly-haired Kristina and is surprised
when Cameron shows up with a present and says Christmas
made him think of her. Cameron gives Kristina the present.
Alexis thanks him and wishes him Merry Christmas. He runs
into Cody the butler, eavesdropping outside. He tells him
Alexis could give some great butler lessons. He leaves.
Alexis asks him why he was eavesdropping. Alexis tells Cody
she knows he was eavesdropping. He's a lurker. She tells
him if she catches him again, he'll have to go. Alexis agrees
to draw up the contract for the 50/50 split. She tells him
the Qs won't like it.
December
23, 2003
Alexis tells Nikolas she never knows what to get him and
hopes he'll just pretend he likes it. She says she's on
the way to the hospital and will meet them there. Alexis
shows up with Kristina. Ned asks if he can hold her; she
says yes. He takes her over to Edward, Alan and Monica.
Tracy tells Alexis she doesn't understand how a cross-dressing
psychopath could have ended up having Ned's child. Alexis
tells her she loves her child and doesn't drop her off like
excess baggage. Alexis licks her candycane as Tracy tries
to rattle her; Alexis tells her that people in glass mental
institutions ought not to throw stones. At the hospital,
Alan reads the Christmas story. Bobbie, Monica, Sage, Dillon
and Edward look on. Alexis, looking calm, beautiful and
relaxed, strokes her baby girl's hair as Ned looks on happily,
all listening to Alan read the story. In a montage, we see
Courtney go to Kelly's alone; Michael holding Morgan as
Carly and Sonny dance happily; Nikolas walk into the Spencers;
Luke walk away; Sage drag Dillon under the mistletoe; him
laugh but not kiss her; Georgie look on sadly, and finally,
Alexis taking her daughter to meet Santa. Santa hands her
a toy and then pulls down his beard. When she sees it's
Cameron her face lights up.

In Luke's fantasy/dream, he's at his own son's funeral.
The mourners include Alexis, Bobbie, Emily, Nikolas, a teenage
Lulu and Leslie. They talk about how he died so suddenly;
so young. Luke is shocked to hear Lucky died in the line
of duty. Lulu is inconsolable; she blames Luke for Lucky's
death. Later, he heads to Wyndemere and sees Nik, Em, Alexis
and Kristina. He invites them to Christmas. Cameron shows
up and he invites him too. He then tells Cameron that he
should stop being such a schlub and go over to Alexis and
give her a big juicy kiss. At the Spencers, Skye, Alexis,
Kristina, Cameron, Bobbie, Emily, Nikolas, Lucky, Lulu and
Leslie are assembled. Luke's late because he was picking
out presents. He shows up and gives Lulu a special present;
everyone else gets something too. No one can believe the
change in him.

This is a special black & white New Year's Eve fantasy
of Dillon's. Back on the farm, Virgil's parents (Alexis
& Cameron) realize their son's run off to the big city.
Back on the farm, Ma Kettle is freaking out so Pa throws
a bucket of fresh milk from the nearby cow on her. They
realize they have to chase down their son in the big city
to save him from the scarlet women & wine. Virgil's
parents arrive in the big city. A hooker walks past and
flashes her wares at Cameron; Alexis wants to know what
he's looking at. The keystone cops (Ric, Lucky & Scott)
show up thinking they're criminals but Cameron distracts
them; they escape.
The keystone cops are distracted by the hooker. Ma &
Pa Kettle hide behind menus in Kelly's. She suggests they'll
have to go on the lam; he suggests a horse might be easier.
At the farm the bumpkin shows his new bride the barn. She's
wholly unimpressed and throws a bucket of milk on Pa Kettle.
Ma Kettle shows up and meets the bride. Whipley Eyelash
ties Georgie to a stop sign and proceeds to drive at her
with the turnip truck. Her true love rescues her. Whipley
turns around and finds a collection of people: Bumpkin has
tied up Whipley, Faith, Mac & Sage. Ma & Pa show
up followed by the Judge & Tracy who meets her son.
Suddenly the keystone cops pass through, chasing Coleman
& Skye.
The bumpkin & Vivi kiss and are married. Ma Kettle passes
Pa's pitchfork to the bumpkin and they are photographed.
All ends well.

On the Haunted Star Zander tells Liz she'll make a great
mom and he thinks Ric'll make a good dad too. Seconds later,
he finds Alexis & Cameron and springs the baby news
on them. Alexis finds it rather amusing that Cameron's going
to be a grandfather; Zander tells her he's got things to
discuss with her. She's not surprised he has things to chat
about. Alexis tells Zander it's a good idea to get his name
on the birth certificate. She tells him he's got a little
bit of time, which is good. Cameron wonders if Zander really
wants this baby or not. Zander walks away. Cameron asks
Alexis why she was talking the way she was to Zander; she
tells him she's an attorney and that he asked her a legal
question and she was just answering him.
January
8, 2004
At the PCPD Lucky and Nikolas are talking about the murder.
Alexis shows up and tells Nik not to say another word. Alexis
tells Lucky that any words that passed between him &
Nikolas are admissible in court. Lucky leaves them alone
after saying he'd never do anything to hurt Nikolas. Alexis
tells her nephew he's in a lot of trouble. Alexis tells
Nikolas that he needs to figure out more about Ben than
the fact that he's AKA "Ben The Fence". She asks
who else had motive; who else could've been there; what
he looked like. Nik has no answers. She tells him he'd better
hope the forensic gods are smiling on them.
January
9, 2004
Emily leaves tearfully and Alexis enters and tells Nikolas
it's time for his bail hearing. Alexis tells Nikolas that
this is very serious. He doesn't appear to think so. At
the courthouse Alexis asks Ric to ask for bail for Nik.
Ric says there's no difference between an aristocratic criminal...
or a mobster. Alexis says, "it isn't like he's Sonny
or Jason..." and Ric says it doesn't matter. He leaves
and Nik shows up. She tells him it doesn't look good.
January
14, 2004
Alexis implores people to leave the room so she can talk
to Zander. He asks about Kristina's love for canned peaches;
they smile. She tells him that he's better than this. He
says Nik attacked him. She says she doesn't doubt it, but
she doesn't believe that he killed Cody. She asks him to
drop the assault charges so that he can go and find out
who did kill him. Alexis asks Zander to drop the charges.
He says no. She looks at him sadly and asks if he realizes
what this means: he says that he does. Ric comes in and
he and Alexis leave; Nik is taken to the PCPD under arrest.
January
15, 2004
Alexis tells Zander that it's obvious what he's doing. She
advises him to stop because it's illegal to frame a man
for murder. He asks if she's billing for her legal advice;
she asks if she's ever billed him a penny for her legal
services. Zander looks guilty. Alexis, quickly having figured
out the clues, tells Zander that it's not hard to see he's
blackmailing Ric in order to get Nik thrown in jail in exchange
for the rights to his kid. She's disgusted with him and
it shows.
January
19, 2004
Alexis shows up at the PCPD and tells Nik that his bail's
been reinstated. Zander, in a cell, looks at her. She asks
if he wants her to get him out. He says that at the end
of the day she'll always choose Nik. She suggests to him
that even if Nik went to jail Em's not gonna pick him anyways
but Zander can't see that. He sadly tells her he doesn't
want her help. Alexis finds Ric in the interrogation room.
She tells him that it seems a little too easy that he's
reinstating Nik's bail, and that she's got a lot to say
to him. Alexis calmly lays out for Ric how things are gonna
go: he's guilty; he'll lose his job -- not to mention his
wife -- if this comes out. So, he'll make it appear that
he's prosecuting Nikolas up until the last moment. She'll
push for a speedy trial; at the last second he'll throw
the case. He can then use Zander's police record against
him to stop him from staking claim to the baby. Ric says
he thought Zander was her friend. She tells him that he
is, but Nik's family. Ric and Elizabeth head off in one
direction; Alexis and Nikolas in the other and Zander, stuck
in his cell, just looks confused.
