Alexis does not respond when Ned asks her if she has fallen
back in love with him, so he rejects her proposal. Ned reminds
Alexis of the last time they entered into sham marriages
because they were feeling competitive and tells her he will
not do it again. Susan Diol appears as Ned's ideal wife
in a "Masterpiece Theater" type fantasy that Alexis
thinks she sees on TV after Ned leaves her hospital room.
Fake British accents abound. Alexis tries to write a campaign
speech about marriage and has flashbacks such as the one
where she runs from the wedding; the first dance at the
nurses ball 1997 with her and Ned; the dance on the pier
interrupted by Sonny in Apr. 2001 where they almost got
back together; them in bed, and the first time they made
love in her hotel room. Gia finds Alexis crying in her room
because Ned will not marry her and she truly loves him.
Gia tries to comfort Alexis after Ned turns her down.
October
29, 2002
Alexis tells Gia that Ned was not someone she was in love
with when they previously discussed marriage, but now he
is.
October
30, 2002
Alexis is on her way to the court to give her deposition.
Alexis says that she and Scott are on the same side this
day and this day alone. Carly tries to pick a fight with
Alexis. She tells her that when Alexis takes the stand she
will have to tell the truth for once and admit that Sonny
had nothing to do with her sister's death. Alexis responds
by saying she still blames him; Carly shifts the blame back
to her. Various people testify about what Luis did to them:
Alexis is among them. Scott is making his final summation
when his assistant comes in and says there is a government
official who needs to speak to him urgently. Scott shows
the judge the mysterious papers. Brenda screams, "What?"
and most eyes go to her. In the courtroom there is reaction
to the charges being dropped. Brenda lunges at Luis in a
slo-mo montage. Outside the courtroom Alexis tells reporters
that there was a deal on the table and Scott took it. Luis
gets a threatening
note and demands a police escort out. It is announced that
someone threatened Luis. Everyone is lined up and the camera
pans to all of them... except Alexis.
November
1, 2002
Alexis gets the tape of Laura's confession from Nik and
Gia. She says she will use it to blackmail Scott into dropping
the charges against Luke. At the police station Alexis,
in a leather coat, classily threatens Scott with the tape.
November
2, 2002
Scott says he will let Luke go if Alexis drops out of the
race. Alexis and Scott battle back and forth with no decisions
being made. Lucky tells Luke that he supports Alexis' decision
to use any means possible to get him acquitted. Alexis comes
into the station and sees Nik; she looks like she has made
a decision. Nikolas accuses Alexis of using the tape to
win the election, and of not caring about anyone- certainly
not her baby and certainly not her family. Alexis tells
Lucky hopefully the tape will not be made public; hopefully
they can stop that from occurring.

Scott says he will let Luke go if Alexis drops out of the
race. Alexis and Scott battle back and forth with no decisions
being made. Lucky tells Luke that he supports Alexis' decision
to use any means possible to get him acquitted. Alexis comes
into the station and sees Nik; she looks like she has made
a decision. At the police station Nikolas accuses Alexis
of using the tape to win the election, and of not caring
about anyone- certainly not her baby and certainly not her
family. Alexis tells Lucky hopefully the tape will not be
made public; hopefully they can stop that from occurring.
November
5, 2002
Alexis announces she is dropping out of the election. After
a photo op with Scott, she tells him that she held up her
part of the bargain and now it is his turn. He refuses,
until the election is over. Alexis apologizes to her constituents.
They leave. She tells Nik and Gia she dropped out for the
baby but Lucky comes in behind her and says she dropped
out to save Luke. At Kelly's, Ned shows up and tells Alexis
he knows she traded the election for something and that
he hopes it was worth it. Alexis admits the truth to Ned.
She also tells him that when he says he wants to be part
of her daughter's life, part of her is happy. However, the
other part wants to push him away because it was her decision
to keep her daughter and raise her and she didn't really
ever ask for his help- but he is a good friend to do it.
She also admits that pregnancy hormones were
the reason for her proposal last week. Alexis grabs a donut
and sits alone at a table at Kelly's. The victory balloons
come tumbling down around her. Luke emerges from the kitchen,
clutching a bottle. He drinks a toast to his wife, whom
Alexis sold out.
November
6, 2002
Luke and Natasha are in Kelly's. He is drinking straight
from the bottle as accusations fly about. He says Laura
will be blamed now that he was released. He is angry because
Alexis took it upon herself to decide about the secret for
both of them, and that was not fair. She tells him to ruck
up and raise his daughter since Laura obviously cannot.
Luke and Lucky fight. Lucky touches Alexis and tells Luke
nothing that happened is her fault. Luke punches Lucky.
He is on the ground. Alexis bends down to see if he is OK.
Ned tells Alexis he is proud of her even though she is not
the new DA.
November
12, 2002
Alexis enters, snow in her hair, to talk to Zander who says
he wants out of the criminal life. In Kelly's, Alexis says
she would be happy to help Zander start anew. He kisses
her on the cheek as he leaves and they touch arms. It is
very sweet. Alexis gets Ned to agree to give Zander a job.
She seems to ad-lib a line about every time he gets his
hair cut, he thinks his sense of humor gets funnier.
November
13, 2002
Scott tells Alexis that Luke is not a menace to society
and that he needs help. He gives her the number of a guy
that could help him. Alexis goes into a homeless shelter
in search of Cameron. She runs into a "homeless"
man. They spar. They banter. He offers her a candy bar.
She goes to leave and asks if he is planning to follow her.
He says this might be her last chance to talk to the shrink
-- it's him! He pulls out the bar and says he hopes she
likes nuts. He says there is clearly no Luke and she says
they have until midnight to help him. Alexis tells Luke
the only reason she is trying to help him is because he
has lost the only one he has ever loved and she knows how
that feels. Luke tells Cameron that he is at least as sane
as his lawyer and Cameron says in that case, they should
be done momentarily. Cameron provokes Luke's anger by insinuating
that his and Laura's relationship was nothing special and
that she is just a woman, not other-worldly. It works. He
is ticked.
November
14, 2002
Ned comes in to find Alexis, wearing glasses, reading a
book on Psychology. He notices that the mittens she took
on her walk belonged to Kristina and they have a nice talk
about her. Ned remarks that he lost the woman he loved (Kristina)
and that he would do anything he could to get those responsible
to pay, starting with Sonny. Alexis says nothing. He leaves
and she holds the mittens to her face, drinking in the scent
of her sister. At the hospital Luis and Alexis have an
altercation. She drops her sister's mitten; he picks it
up. She threatens him very convincingly and tells him if
the justice system does not make him pay, she will. Jason
shows up and throws Luis up against a wall and asks where
Brenda is.
November
15, 2002
At the hospital, Alexis manages to get Jason to back off
Luis. She then tells him exactly what she thinks of him.
Luke, Scott and Cameron enter. Luke has been ordered to
court-appointed shrink sessions and Alexis is allowed to
observe. Scott and Cameron are watching events unfold inside
the room. Alexis enters. It is announced that Logan is a
tough guy to upset. Luke gets his group therapy group all
riled up. When Alexis asks why he was brought there, Cameron
says it is better than jail. Alexis meets up with Luis in
the park where he tells her that she, not he, is responsible
for Kristina's death. Luis reminds Alexis that she testified
that Kristina was on her way to see Sonny. He says it was
her that put her sister in the wrong place at the wrong
time. She goes into labor and falls to the ground. When
she begs for his help, he says he is sorry but it is all
about Brenda.
November
18, 2002
Alexis is in labor. Luis leaves her. She dumps out her purse
but cannot get her phone out. Cameron finds Alexis in the
park, deduces she is in labor, picks her up and carries
her off. Alexis is brought into the hospital. She wants
someone to call Ned. At the hospital, Alexis finds out there
is a 60/40 chance the baby will live. She really freaks
out. Cameron tries to calm her down. Alexis tries to dissuade
the baby from being born. Ned shows up and she turns away
from Cameron and grips his clothing. She begins to push.
Alexis' water breaks. Ned is told the baby must be delivered
in 12-24 hours or she will go into distress.
November
19, 2002
Alexis is told the baby has to be born tonight. Alexis is
fully dilated, crying, and tired. Ned tells her to get angry
at the circumstances and everything that happened along
the way. Alexis gives birth and they take the baby away
without a close-up shot of it. Alexis cries and begs to
see the baby. Dr. Meadows will not allow it and Ned tells
her to listen to the doctor. Alexis dreams that her sister
is holding her daughter. She wakes up calling their names
and Ned treats her like an idiot -- "Yes, your daughter
Kristina was born tonight." Duh! Alexis wants to see
her. Alexis sees the baby and tells her she will stay by
her side until she can bring her home.
November
20, 2002
Alexis tells Ned she will not leave her daughter. Ned begs
Alexis to take a break. She tells him he has been around
just as much as she has. He points out that he was not found
in the park and that he did not have a difficult labor.
She says: "Well that's a good thing because women are
stronger than men- I've been telling you that for years.
I don't want her to feel alone; I don't want her to feel
abandoned. She knows the sound of my voice, she needs to
hear my voice." He convinces her to go for a walk.
Alexis and Ned return to the nursery and find Kristina's
incubator gone. She looks outside the room and sees Luis
fidgeting with something in his pocket. She grabs a pair
of scissors and threatens him while Ned holds her back.
There was a problem with the baby's warmer and they got
a new one, but the baby is OK. Alexis tells Ned that Luis
left her in labor in the snow to die. At the hospital Alexis
is disgusted with Ned. She calls Kristina "her child"
-- and says she will never leave her again.
November
22, 2002
At the hospital Alexis wants the nurse to check the baby's
IV. The nurse thinks she's a little batty. Alexis tells
the baby she will not leave her. Cameron stands in the doorway
and observes. Alexis gives Cameron a quick rundown on who
Luis is. She says that Luis was responsible for the bomb
that killed her sister. Alexis says that she and the baby
made a promise to each other -- all they need was each other.
Ned approaches. Ned and Alexis talk. She tells him someone
needs to stop Luis. Alexis thanks Ned for stopping by and
tells the baby everything will be OK if she keeps getting
stronger. Later, the neo-natal unit is sans Alexis and sans
Ned.
November
25, 2002
Alexis walks around a corner, wearing very nice jeans, and
lets out a blood-curdling scream. At the crime scene Taggert
and Scott are interrogating Alexis. She tells them she never
heard Sonny threaten Luis. After explaining how Luis left
her in the park to die, she says whoever killed him, the
world is in their debt. She is cool and calm and when she
leaves Taggert and Scott decide that Jason and Sonny are
going down for this one. Alexis walks in to find Ned with
Kristina. After she tells him what she witnessed Ned says,
"That must have been a jolt." Alexis is surprised
at how laid back he is. Ned says that it must have been
quite a shock for Alexis to see Luis that way, but she says
she is getting over it quickly. Alexis tells Ned that she
does not want to live in the gatehouse; she does not want
a baby nurse to live with her; she does not want Ned to
raise the baby with her. She will become a full-time mother
and raise Kristina on her own.
November
26, 2002
Alexis says that Ned is the father of record but that he
really has no claim on her baby. She thanks him for all
he has done. Alexis tells Ned he can see the baby whenever
he wants but this is clearly not enough for him. He wants
her all the time. Alexis just wants him to leave. Alexis
goes to the morgue, pulls out the drawer with Luis' body
in it and tells him she wants him to burn in hell. Kristina's
spirit appears and tells her to let it go. Kristina tells
Alexis to let go of the past and focus on the positive things
in life. She wakes up to the sound of a monitor in distress
but it is not her daughter's. She is grateful. Alexis begs
Bobbie to let her touch the baby. Alexis is allowed to put
her hands into the incubator to touch Kristina.
November
27, 2002
Sonny finds Alexis in the NICU. He is asking her for a referral
for Brenda when the baby's monitor goes off. They rush back
in the room after she calls for help. He touches her back.
December
2, 2002
At the hospital, Sonny holds Alexis back when they take
the baby to help her. She slaps him and in a very scratchy
voice says it is all his fault. Then she covers her face
in shame and cries. He just looks like a little kid; very
sorry for her. Alexis is hysterically crying/begging Sonny
to leave her alone. Ned comes in and intercedes; effectively
banishing him. Alexis allows Ned to hold her, eyes closed
while Sonny watches through the window. Ned consents for
the surgery for Kristina after they learn there is a 60%
chance she'll live through it and no chance of survival
without it. Alexis is stunned into submission. After Bobbie
and the doctor leave Alexis tells Ned that he, not they
gave consent and if she dies it is his fault. Cameron meets
with Alexis and suggests she should be sedated but she says
no. Alexis is reluctant to discuss things with Cameron but
he makes her. She mentions the hospital bracelet being the
thing that keeps the baby from being taken by anyone but
her.
December
3, 2002
Alexis stands inside the neonatal ward looking forlorn and
alone; Cameron looks on. Ned tries to get Alexis to go for
a walk. The other parents look at her disapprovingly. She
tries to explain that she is not leaving but he still tries
to convince her. Ned begs her to give it a rest. Cameron
intercedes and says if she does not want to go, she should
not have to. Cameron suggests things Alexis could do to
take her mind off things. She will have none of it. He understands
and is simply kind to her. Cameron says he is not a parent
anymore but that he knows what it means to try and fail.
He says he does believe Kristina feels Alexis by her side.
December
4, 2002
At the hospital Alexis tells Gia she will not return any
messages because her daughter is her only priority. Alexis
thanks Ned for being rational and making the right decision
when she could not do so. Then she tells him he should be
the one to hold Kristina first, when the doctors let them
hold her. He is clearly touched and reiterates his love
for Alexis' daughter.
December
10, 2002
Alexis and our first close-up of little Kristina. Cameron
comes in to bring her a mocha cappuccino and a chocolate
brioche. She finds a newspaper and is stunned by the headline
of Jaxs confession. Alexis asks Cameron to stay with
Kristina for one hour while she goes to the PCPD. He says
he charges $150/hour but is secretly delighted. Alexis shows
up and asks Jax what he is doing. Alexis is unhappy with
Jax for dragging her away from the hospital. Alexis is still
pretty mad that Jax confessed. Alexis offers her help; he
takes her up on it. Scott cannot find the Jax tape. Taggert
tells Scott to try harder. Alexis tells Scott she is Jaxs
lawyer. Alexis returns to the hospital and is shocked to
find Felicia Jones with her hands on her daughter..
December 11, 2002
Alexis tells Felicia her daughter is very fragile and there
are only supposed to be two people in the room at one time.
Felicia leaves after apologizing. She then turns to Cameron
asking, How could you? Alexis admits to Cameron
that she overreacted, and then says she wants to take Jax
on as a client. Cameron is amused and says he cannot wait
to see who shell be tomorrow (given that Kristina
has been her only focus for weeks). Felicia plays up to
Alexis feelings about her daughter and Jax. Just as
Cameron knew she would, Alexis asks Felicia for help with
freeing Jax. Alexis is grateful to Felicia for her offer;
she takes her up on it.
December
12, 2002
Alexis, looking awesome in glasses and a nice suit says
to Jax, How ya doing? You sit; Ill talk.
Scott comes in. Alexis walks over to Jax and tells him they
will solve one problem at a time -- namely dealing with
his vindictive, scorned wife later. Skye shows up and Alexis
tells her to leave. Skye goes over to Jax and talks to him.
Alexis tells her to take a seat. Skye taunts him that Brenda
isnt there because she is probably with Sonny. Alexis
looks up, sees Sonny and says, Nope. Alexis
gives reasons why Jax should be free; Scott has nothing
to add. The judge is about to set bail when Tags rushes
in with the tape. Jaxs bail is denied. Skye screams
out. AJ calms her down and makes her leave. Sonny is watching
Alexis who tells Jax they will still win this.
December
13, 2002
At the PCPD, Jax and Alexis are told hes been asked
to take a lie detector test. Jax has agreed against legal
advice. Brenda shows up and Scott asks if he is in love
with her. Jax admits during the polygraph that he loves
Brenda more than anyone else he ever loved and would do
anything to protect her. Jaxs polygraph shows he did
kill Luis. Scott decides to take them on a field trip. In
Luis hotel suite, Scott stages a reenactment of the
murder. It is being recorded. Invited guests include Scott,
Mac, Brenda, Taggert, Skye, Alexis, Jax and some extras.
After Brenda says she never went out onto the terrace after
reenacting everything else Skye accuses her of lying. Scott
proves Jax did not kill Luis because if they had struggled
Jax would have blood on his clothing.
December
16, 2002
Scott tells Alexis he has a deal to free her client. Alexis
suggests to Scott that he drop the case. Cameron assures
Scott that things with Luke are OK. Alexis goes to Luis
suite. She is about out on the balcony when Cameron asks
what she is doing there. She whips around, full-hair and
looks at him with her eyes as big as saucers.
December
17, 2002
Cameron and Alexis, while in Luis hotel room, discuss
the murder. He tells her he does not believe the story she
spun. Cameron knows Alexis is hiding something and says
as much to her. She hightails it out of the hotel room,
ducking under the yellow police tape as she goes. Alexis
comes back to the NICU and sees Felicia and Ned with Kristina.
She asks Felicia to stay out of
the NICU and she agrees. Ned attacks Alexis. They fight
because she is oh-so-busy, what with trying to save their
best friend from a lifetime of jail. He goes on about his
commitment to the baby, and the fact that everyone needs
consistency for this situation. Alexis tells him she is
raising the baby alone. They fight and he calls her selfish
repeatedly. Ned continues to rail against Alexis. Cameron
shows up and hears some of it. He finally takes off and
she is desperate to know how much Cameron heard. Basically,
Ned said every bad thing to Alexis that anyone has ever
said and/or that she ever thought about herself. Not just
a low blow -- a series of them, strategically aimed. At
the hospital Cameron outlines the dangers to Alexis of living
vicariously through ones child.
December
18, 2002
Alexis shows up and is shocked to hear Sonny beat Ned up.
Alexis tells Taggert there are witnesses for the fight between
Ned and Sonny. Tags tells her the reason they would be reluctant
to come forward is because she spent the last two years
making him untouchable. Tags then says his money is on Roscos
widow -- the mob will take Sonny out. Alexis tells Cameron
that instead of following her around last night, he should
have been with Luke keeping him in line. She exits, angry.
Gia and Alexis have a fight because Alexis is angry that
Gia forged her signature and used the skills she acquired
in law school (?) to write up the documents. Gia said
she researched everything and that if she does not want
her help, she has a fiancé who does.
December
19, 2002
Alexis is on her way out when Felicia shows up with a reluctant
Ida who points out Brenda as the killer. Alexis is convinced
either Sonny or Jax paid her the $100,000 to leave town.
She takes off to find out. Ida escapes from out from under
Felicias watchful eye. On the docks, Alexis tells
Sonny she needs to talk to him. Looking sexy in leather,
he cant turn her down. He sends everyone else away.
She tells him that another eyewitness has come forward to
identify Brenda as the killer, but someone paid her off.
Alexis thinks it was him.
December
20, 2002
Sonny says he is angry to have been pulled away from his
family to be accused of something he did not do. Alexis
shows up at the Quartermaines to wish Ned well; he
has nothing to say. She then pulls Jax aside and tells him
about Ida but he does not know who that is. Alexis tells
Jax she will represent Brenda. Jax tells her if she does
she has to only represent Brenda and cannot help Sonny.
She agrees. Alexis tells him he has to tell Brenda the truth
tonight. Alexis tells Jason if he is there to do what she
thinks he is, he will only make things worse.
December
23, 2002
Edward tells Alexis to make herself useful. Alexis calls
Felicia to get an update on the Ida situation. Carly sees
Alexis and Felicia. Carly tells Alexis she better not be
there to represent Sonny. Alexis tells her she regrets ever
having represented Sonny as he is brought in by Taggert.
They make eye contact.
Sonny: Are you responsible for this?
Alexis: If by this you mean am I responsible for
telling the police about the witness, you know I had to
do that.
Sonny: You still hold me responsible for what happened
with your sister, dont you?
Alexis: You cant even say it, can you?
She walks away. much more is said.
