September 18, 2002
Alexis turns on the TV. Ned comes in and tells her he heard something on the radio that he needs to tell her. A breaking news bulletin announces that Sonny was gunned down . Alexis is shaken by the news of Sonny's death. Ned tells her that this is exactly the reason that she did not tell him about the baby, to keep the child away from this kind of life. Alexis shows up wearing a white blouse, black skirt with a slit and sandals, to Sonny's penthouse. Alexis says to Carly that she cannot help but wonder if she had told Sonny about the baby, if he would have taken more precautions. Carly turns this around and suggests that Alexis is suggesting that Michael wasn't enough for Sonny to be careful for. Alexis says she wants to tell the world about the baby being Sonny's. Alexis gets a lecture from Carly about what would happen if she went public with the baby news. Jason comes in. Alexis tells him she is sorry for his loss, exits. Carly asks Jason what went wrong at the church.

September 19, 2002
At the funeral home many stop by to offer condolences such as Bobbie, Monica, Mike, Courtney, Lucas, but none more surprising than Alexis. Of course Carly drives an emotional 18-wheeler over her and tells her to get out, so she does.

September 20, 2002
At the PCPD, an angry Scott shows up and accuses Lucky of hitting him over the head. Lucky says he didn't do it. Alexis arrives only to defend Lucky and tear a strip off Scott. Nikolas shows up with an alibi for his brother. Alexis is able to force Scott to admit the reason he got the police van to stop was so that he could knock his arch enemy around. Alexis goes one step further by
telling him that both of the boys were with her, not helping Luke. Alexis provides an alibi for both boys. Scott has no choice but to release them. Alexis and Scott then both accuse the other of being a liar. Alexis tells Scott in no uncertain words that she will get him.

September 23, 2002
Alexis find out that Nik, not Lucky helped Luke escape. Lucky wonders aloud if Nik set up his father. Alexis tells Lucky he should be grateful to Nikolas. She tells him she put her career on the line for him and she goes on to tell them both to stay out of trouble. Then she says 'I'm not kidding'. Ned compares Luke to Sonny and asks Alexis to forget both of these men who rejected her, for different reasons

September 24, 2002
At her apartment Alexis is pacing over results about the baby when Lucky arrives. (Ned is there, incidentally). At her apartment, Alexis nearly drop-kicks Ned to the door. Lucky tells her his plan to blackmail Scott with Theresa Carter and her skull. Alexis and Lucky discuss the plot. Alexis does not seem to think it will work. At the apartment Lucky and Alexis finish up. He leaves and she is trepidatious about her next appointment. Alexis and Ned learn that the baby has no complications. When it comes to the sex, he wants to know and she does not. Alexis finds out she is having a girl. She is thrilled beyond belief.

September 25, 2002
On the docks Alexis, looking gorgeous in black, is guilt-tripping over wishing Sonny dead at Kristina's memorial. Ned tells her not to give it a second thought. On the docks Alexis looks like she might just be sick. She looks sick to her stomach at how she treated Sonny. And she looks like she wants to punch Ned because it is so obvious that he hasn't got the first clue what she is feeling. They talk some more about her baby.

September 26, 2002
At the church lady Jane tells Alexis that Jax never would have been able to love again after
Brenda if not for his marriage to her.

September 27, 2002
Alexis congratulates Jax on his wedding. Ned makes a speech about the one you ought to be
with being the one you go back to repeatedly. He looks longingly at Alexis. Alexis tries to pawn
the bouquet off on Jane but she tells her it does not work that way. Ned and Alexis sit in separate
church pews. She wonders what would have happened if she had not run out on their wedding.

September 30, 2002
At Kelly's Alexis tells Ned she is giving up criminal law. She does not sound too enthused about
other possibilities. Scott and Bobbie come in. Alexis overhears Scott's latest stunt. She tells
Bobbie about the laws he has broken and says she can go on. Scott and Alexis' verbal sparring
increases. When he suggests she would be better off knitting and sipping herbal tea with a pickle
in her mouth the look she gives him would have sent a lesser man running for cover. Alexis
agrees to run for d.a. -- surprising both herself and Ned. Ned supports Alexis's decision to wipe the smug smile off Scott's face by running for district attorney.

October 1, 2002
Edward gives Alexis a campaign contribution. Alexis tells Edward that if he gave her the money
for any other reason than supporting the best candidate for d.a. then she will give it back. He
responds by telling her she ought to marry the father of her baby. Alexis and Ned come in and she tells Scott she wants them to agree to run a clean and smear-free campaign. Alexis and Scott nearly get into a fistfight. Lucky touches her arm and tells her he will help her get the goods on Scott. Alexis reiterates that she wants to run a clean campaign

October 2, 2002
Alexis and Ned are going over campaign strategies when Gia and Nik come in to help them. Scott has a press conference happening outside where he points out that if elected Alexis will be an unwed mother. Outside Kelly's Scott, in the 19th century, goes on a diatribe against Alexis which results in her saying stuff that will come back to bite her and Ned slugging Scott. At the
impromptu press conference Alexis is raked over the coals by the press. However she answers
succinctly, non-hysterically and with really true, well thought-out answers. Alexis thinks she
blew it with the press conference and Nik assures her it will definitely air. At Kelly's after seeing
the broadcast Alexis and Ned discuss their big wedding. Alexis requests a 'big fat cake for my big fat mouth'.

October 4, 2002
At Club 101 Ned tells Alexis she should tell everyone what went on between herself and Sonny
while Lucky tells Gia and Nikolas that he wants to bring Scott down. Alexis is interviewed. The
Sonny question comes up repeatedly and she says that if he were alive she would be leading the
campaign to bring him down. Lucky tells Edward to get everyone he can to vote for Alexis as it is
his father's only chance of getting his freedom back. Scott comes in and challenges Alexis to a
debate.

October 7, 2002
Gia tells Scott that Alexis would be happy to debate him. Gia tells the press that she is Alexis'
press liaison and that the debate will be in one week at 3 PM. Alexis is co-erced into agreeing to the debate. Privately she tells Ned she just wants to drop out. Ned gets the band to play the song that he did on the night of the nurses ball 1997 so he and Alexis can dance. The baby kicks. They stop dancing. Alexis is ambushed by a reporter holding a bright videocam screaming that Sonny is alive and asking her how she feels about that. Alexis is visibly shocked by the news that Sonny is not dead. when the reporters leave she is flabbergasted that he did this. she says 'I mourned that bastard and he's not even dead!' and she also brings up Carly and calls her a shrew and again remarks that she cannot believe Carly threw her out of the funeral and knew the whole time that Sonny was not dead. Alexis begins to melt down about Sonny, stating repeatedly she is not in love with him. Ned grabs her and kisses her. She stops hyperventilating at this point.

October 8, 2002
Taggert figures out that Luis was responsible for the warehouse bombing. Alexis walks in and
overhears. She comes into the room and asks Jason if that is the 'the bastard responsible for
killing my sister'. Monica comes into Luis's room and shoos everyone away. Alexis takes a
step towards him and tells him to look at her face and remember it because if he killed her sister
he would be seeing it again. Jason is pushing the elevator button Alexis rushes up to him. She
places her hand on him and asks him to give her answers. She says that Sonny was not
indirectly responsible for Kristina's death after all, as if to herself, not to Jason. Jason tells Alexis
that Luis probably never even gave Kristina a second thought. Alexis wants more but Jason
says he really has somewhere to be and asks if she has what she needs. She replies that it is a
start and stands alone like the unpopular child on the playground, tears burning in her eyes,
absorbing this new news. In Luis's hospital room Alexis walks in on Brenda with him. Alexis
realizes it has always been about Brenda. after Brenda leaves Alexis gives a tour-de-force
performance telling Luis about her sister. she is about to make him pay when Ned walks in
and asks her to let him do it. Ned threatens Luis. Alexis leaves the room.

October 10, 2002
At the hospital Brenda and Jax are talking when Alexis comes in wearing a raspberry satin blouse and black suit with her hair down. There is a definite tummy in sight. Jax tells Alexis
the best thing he ever did was marry Skye.

October 11, 2002
Outside Kelly's, Gia, Nik and Lucky decide that Alexis will never tell them what Scott has on her,
so they will have to find out on their own. Inside, Ned suggests Scott knows Alexis slept with
Sonny and got pregnant. Alexis tells Ned that Scott was with her one night at the Grille when she
was staring at Sonny, and that he ran into her again when she bought her pregnancy test at the
drugstore. Alexis tells Scott if he brings up something personal during the debate he will live to
regret it. Alexis tells Scott he better stick to the issues in their debate.

October 14, 2002
At the Q mansion the camera focuses in on a picture of Edward and Lila. It pulls back to reveal
Alexis. Edward soon enters the room and tries to get her to drink milk. He then tells her that he
has mud to sling at Scott but she wants to run a clean campaign Ned comes upon Edward
giving Alexis ammunition to crush Scott with. He wants Edward to give it a rest. At the police
station Alexis manages to talk Scott down from pressing charges. She takes Lucky and Nik outside and gives them a talking to.

October 16, 2002
Alexis and Ned discuss the impending debate and what Scott might possibly have on her. At the
debate, Scott and Alexis shake hands. Scott starts talking. Carly shows up and sits beside Bobbie The debate starts and Scott says that Alexis slept with Sonny. Alexis says she never slept with Sonny, after she gets pretty steamed at Scott for bringing it up. Sonny shows up and says he is going to set the record straight. Alexis looks stunned. Alexis is rendered speechless by Scott's accusations and Sonny's defense of her. Sonny denies all; prepares to exit. Scott says he has proof in black and white, right Carly? Carly looks angry. At the debate Alexis is in stunned, shocked silence. Scott blathers on about the details in the affidavit. Carly looks ticked.

October 17, 2002
At the debate Scott continues to accuse. Alexis is speechless. Carly says Scott is the liar, not
Alexis. Alexis looks horrified and aghast that her defender is Carly. Carly tells everyone how Scott blackmailed her into signing the papers, and what a sleaze he is. The audience is panned during Carly's tirade -- Nik and Lucky get a phone call and leave; Ned looks worried; something clicks in Edward's mind. Bobbie interrupts her daughter to start in on Scott too. Bobbie tears Scott apart in public. Sonny tells Scott to lay off him. He looks at Alexis and says: "Ms. Davis, if you continue to make unfounded accusations about me and my business, I'll sue you, as well. I have never been convicted of racketeering and I categorically deny any involvement in organized crime. Do not ever call me a mobster again. In fact, leave me and my wife out of this election altogether". Alexis looks absolutely stunned -- deer in headlights, as well as so utterly grateful. Alexis says that in deference to his request she will only call Sonny an alleged mobster from now on. After the debate everyone has left except a few. Scott tells her that he knows Carly was lying. He then says one day it will come out that she slept with Sonny. Alexis says "not to get
personal. But you're a pig".

October 18, 2002
Scott tells Alexis that now that Sonny saved her from public humiliation he will expect favors,
such as a get out of jail free card. In the middle of a screaming match at the penthouse Sonny
says he does not care about Alexis because she has no faith and no loyalty. He and Carly are
screaming about the baby when there is a knock at the door. It is Alexis. Alexis says "There's
something you need to know," Alexis says. Sonny replies, "What's that?" Alexis tells him, "your
intervention saved me today. I won the debate because you and Carly both claimed we never
had a liaison. You lied, just as I did". Sonny responds with, "you're welcome". Alexis tells him,
"no thanks intended. You chose to clear my name but there is no quid pro quo here. There'll be
no favors or gifts of gratitude". Sonny says "all right". Alexis tells him, "if I win the election I will
go after organized crime. You did me a favor today. But that favor cannot be repaid". Sonny asks
if she just declared war on him. Alexis tells Sonny she plans to dismantle his criminal empire. He
says those are strong words. Ned calls her and asks if they can meet. Sonny says there is
something Alexis needs to know. He says he will never allow her to take anything that is his. She
leaves. At the PC hotel meeting room Alexis finds out that Edward knows the truth. Alexis
doubles over in pain. She says something is wrong with the baby.

October 21, 2002
Alexis is wheeled into a private room. Bobbie tells her the placenta might be separating. Alexis is
hooked up to machines. Dr. Meadows says that while the baby is all right, the mother is a
different story. Alexis is sentenced to three days of bed rest at the hospital. Ned tells her she has
to make a choice before it is made for her. Ned tells Alexis she needs to decide what is more
important -- the baby or the election.

October 22, 2002
At the hospital Alexis and Lucky are going over Luke's will looking for clues. Ned walks in; Lucky
leaves. Alexis tells Ned she has decided to ditch the election. Alexis tells Ned she had a dream
about Kristina last night. In the dream, Kristina was a baby again, and that in the dream
everything was exactly the way it was before things went wrong. she says 'there is no job .. there
will never be any job that is as important as my daughter'. Ned describes what her platform will
be and suggests she should run again in four years. Alexis tells Scott she is dropping out of the
election. He makes some snide remarks circa 1954, then leaves. Alexis is inside wishing she could change her mind. Alexis' blood pressure is up. she is seriously regretting her decision to allow that pig to assume office. Alexis says she will run her campaign from her hospital bed, if need be. She says she is 'uniquely motivated to fight organized crime' when she is asked why she will succeed where others have failed in bringing Sonny down. Edward approaches the door

October 23, 2002
At the hospital Alexis is spitting mad, while Sonny and Edward are calm. She explains through
gritted teeth that she never gave permission for a DNA test and Sonny says that judging by her
reaction, he just might be the father after all. Alexis is frenetic, on the edge of hysteria. She talks
about how she will raise her daughter unencumbered by the male ego. Carly rushes in and grabs
the DNA results from Edward and tears them open herself exclaiming 'oh my god'. Alexis is
silently freaking. The results state that Ned is the father. Everyone files out the the room. Alexis
cries from relief and is so utterly glad Ned did this. He has a huge smile on his face. Alexis
thanks Ned for what he did for her. When asked how he accomplished it, he gives few details
except to say once Edward started asking questions it was easy to anticipate and block his next
move. Edward enters the room with flowers, chocolate and a check. Ned and Alexis try to get rid of Edward who tries to tempt with them a wonderful load of stuff for 'their' daughter. Alexis is
walking towards the bed when Carly appears in her room. Carly accuses Alexis of using the
entire pregnancy as a way of holding onto Sonny. she says that the reason Alexis told her about
it was to drive a wedge between herself and Sonny, because she is clearly still in love with him.

October 24, 2002
Alexis's IV crashes to the ground. Carly is helping her pick it up when Ned rushes in and tries to separate Carly from Alexis. Sonny comes in and throws him against the door while Alexis screams at everyone. Sonny screams at Alexis. She is crying and touching her stomach. He says that he is glad she worked for him for two years since everything he told her then was within
the bounds of attorney/client privilege. He says he knows her weaknesses and he knows how to break her and he will if she comes after him. Her heart is breaking. He leaves the room and outside tells Carly he cannot deal with her now. Alexis tells Ned that she knew by looking at Sonny that he would go for full custody and that she regrets having slept with Sonny but not for being pregnant with his baby. She says the baby will never know her father is a cold-blooded amoral man. Alexis tells Ned she will always be grateful to him for all that he has done for her and her daughter. He says he already loves the baby and will do anything to protect her, and that he told Brooke Lynn about it and she is thrilled.

October 25, 2002
Gia and Nik tell Alexis that she will lose the election unless she gets married. Gia tries to convince Alexis to get married, to which Alexis replies that she will not play Bridal Barbie for the general population of Port Charles. Jax and Alexis discuss his feelings for Brenda and Skye. She points out that although Skye might be the person he had intended on spending the rest of his life with now, before he met her, he had the honor reserved for Brenda. He points out that if Brenda had come back to him after the accident, he would be with her, but she elected not to. Alexis and Jax talk about her love life. She describes how the media wants to see her married and discusses how she does not know if she loves Ned. At one point she says something about love, and Jax says 'well that sounds like you are in love then,' and she says something like, 'with
Ned?' as if it were a question. Alexis proposes to Ned. He asks if she loves him.

October 28, 2002
Alexis does not respond when Ned asks her if she has fallen back in love with him so he rejects her proposal. Ned reminds Alexis of the last time they entered into sham marriages because they were feeling competitive and tells her he will not do it again. Susan Diol appears as Ned's ideal wife in a 'masterpiece theater' type fantasy that Alexis thinks she sees on TV after Ned leaves her hospital room. Fake British accents abound. Alexis tries to write a campaign speech about marriage and has flashbacks such as the one where she runs from the wedding; the first dance at the nurses ball 1997 with her and Ned; the dance on the pier interrupted by Sonny in Apr. 2001 where they almost got back together; them in bed, and the first time they made love in her hotel room. Gia finds Alexis crying in her room because Ned will not marry her and she truly loves him Gia tries to comfort Alexis after Ned turns her down.
