Alexis tells Sonny she's throwing caution to the wind. A little tipsy, she stands on the edge of a fountain and begins splashing around in it. She falls into his arms and tells him she's not ready for this night to end. She tells him she wants to gamble. She keeps one chip and tells him it's so that she can remember this night. He says he has something more planned but she doesn't see how he could top this. He says all she has to do is enjoy herself. She tells him she doesn't want this night to ever end.

December 11, 2001
Alexis and Sonny are still having fun when Zander calls to tell him that something's up. She says she'll go pack. Back in Port Charles, they exit the elevator as Carly emerges from the penthouse. Carly says Alexis was eager to finalize something in the divorce. Carly calls her names.

December 12, 2001
WARDROBE: charcoal suit w/ pants; leopard-print blouse. Sonny defends Alexis to Carly. Kristina picks up her dress and asks what Sonny looked like under the moonlight. She then asked how she really felt about Sonny.

December 13, 2001
Kristina tells her that Ned wants to make her a rock star. Alexis tells her that she and Ned are through. Alexis sees Ned and asks what he's getting at with her sister. Alexis says this is the day of the year she acts like a jerk.

December 14, 2001
Fearful that Carly might change her mind about the adoption, Sonny passes on his suspicions to Alexis, and Alexis surprises Carly with a visit. Alexis also confronts Kristina about trying to restore Ned and Alexis' romantic relationship, but Kristina assures Alexis that she made a spontaneous decision to sing professionally for Ned.

December 18, 2001
Defeated Sonny walks away with his dignity intact, and Alexis cheers Sonny with the news that Carly signed the adoption papers. However, Sonny dampens Alexis' mood when he refers to Alexis as only a friend and promptly heads off to see Carly. Alexis and Felicia share their thoughts on men, and Alexis points out that Sonny's adoption of Michael will forever bind Carly to Sonny.

December 19, 2001
WARDROBE: brown belt; light jeans; yellow shirt. Kristina tells Alexis that she's OK with the idea of her and Ned because her heart has moved on. Kristina denies Alexis' suggestion that Kristina and Ned have growing feelings for one another, and Alexis insists that she has no romantic feelings for Sonny.

December 20, 2001
Sonny admits to Alexis that he can't stomach lies, and Alexis offers her ear if Sonny ever feels comfortable enough to talk about specific betrayals.

December 24, 2001
WARDROBE: camel-colored coat; black leather skirt; v-neck red stretchy sparkly shirt. Alexis notes Kristina's immediate discomfort around Ned with Alexis' arrival, so Alexis retreats to the park. There, Alexis crosses paths with Jax, and their emotional exchange propels Alexis to dust off a memorial and to orchestrate a candlelight vigil.

December 31, 2001
WARDROBE: maroon splotchy shiny blouse; black pants. Kristina says she has plans for New Year's Eve with Alexis but Alexis shows up and tells Ned that's not true. She tells Kristina she's fine without a date. Sonny tells her needs her; Alexis tells him he has her. WARDROBE: black velvet dress. Ned, Kristina, Sonny and Alexis share an uncomfortable silence. They all wind up at the Grille together. Alexis is tapped on the shoulder and then blows a noisemaker.

January 2, 2002
Courtney tells Edward the whole thing was a set-up. Sonny tells Alexis that girl is his sister. Alexis meets Courtney and immediately offers to let her stay with her. Sonny tells Courtney she has other options. Alexis asks for five minutes with Courtney. She tells her that she'll like her sister -- everybody does. Sonny tells Alexis the smartest thing he ever did was hire her.

January 4, 2002
WARDROBE: beige Armani suit. Alexis introduces Courtney to Kristina. Alexis convinces her to stay. Courtney asks if Sonny is Alexis' boyfriend. They invite Sonny inside. Taggert shows up to arrest Janine.

January 7, 2002
Alexis and Taggert banter. Alexis coaches Janine and Courtney as to what to do at the PCPD. The Qs scoff as Sonny reveals Courtney is his sister.

January 8, 2002
Alexis tells Sonny that he has to give his sister some space. Sonny tells Alexis he's taking her out as a distraction. Alexis and Sonny toast to Courtney's freedom.

January 9, 2002
Skye shows up. Sonny wants her to go away. She persists. Jax shows up and tells Sonny not to threaten Skye. Rosco shoes up and hits on Alexis.

January 10, 2002
Sonny sends Rosco packing. Alexis wonders if she has to worry about Sonny. They decide to make up his personal ad. He teaches her how to eat biscotti. Sonny returns home to find Mike and Courtney arguing.

January 11, 2002
Sonny yells at Kristina for allowing Mike to upset Courtney. Courtney tells Sonny not to control her. Alone with Sonny, Alexis says that by now he ought to know how she feels about him.

January 14, 2002
Sonny tells her that she doesn't back down. She says she doesn't back down from him. Sonny wants Alexis to ensure that Carly gets home. She announces she can get herself home. Ned wants to know how Alexis feels about the fact that his and Kristina's burgeoning relationship. Alexis tells Ned she's fine. Kristina comes downstairs and says there's tandoori chicken in the refrigerator. Alexis tells Kristina to mind her own business. Frustrated with everyone, Alexis heads to the gym. She hurts herself on the treadmill and winds up agreeing to a date with Scott Baldwin. Scott escorts her home and Sonny is not pleased. Montage: "My Lover's Gone" by Dido.

WARDROBE: navy suit; white satin blouse w/high collar. Alexis can't move. Kristina asks how she feels about Ned. Stefan calls Kristina and Alexis. He tells them he's leaving town. He reads from his journal. Gia tells him he can't leave. He gives Alexis Katya's bracelet and tells her to find happiness for herself. He says he loves her with all his heart and tells her to go be happy. Stefan gives Gia the keys for Wyndemere. He's told he'll miss his flight.

January 21, 2002
WARDROBE: black long satin nightgown; black velvet robe w/ flowers. Alexis wants to cancel her date with Scott.
